Job Summary: Assembler
The primary function of the SECOND SHIFT Assembler is to assemble components into finished goods following engineering drawings and/or instruction from the Assembly Manager and Assistant Assembly Manager using various tools and fixtures.
Essential Functions:
Assemble parts using basic tools in a timely manner
Must have excellent visual attention to detail
Maintain accurate counts of items assembled
Log in and out of work order control system
Maintain clean working environment
Perform the job with minimal supervision
Due to the nature of the work, non-productive interaction with fellow employees must be kept to a minimum
Perform other assignments as required by the Assembly Manager and Assistant Assembly Manager such as: Testing, Engraving, and/or Packaging
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Math Skills (measuring, use of calculator)
Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions
Must be comfortable using a computer tablet
2 years of Assembly work experience for a manufacturing company is a plus!
Language Skills:
Must be fluent in English and have very good verbal communication skills
Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions
Physical Demands:
Must frequently lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
