Review Drawings, Bills of Material, Part Description of Mechanical Parts, Fasteners, Wires, Connectors, Washers, Spacers, and similar types of parts Assemble kits using kitting instructions with accurately reading parts, quantities, revisions Assemble Wire Harness, Cable Assemblies using shop tools such was wrenches, torque drivers, hand tools, thread gages, Go - No-Go Gages Accurately assemble Electrical and or Mechanical Parts using either an example or from Assembly drawings or Instructions Fill forms, record data, verify count accuracy, check assembly description, dimensions, size, color Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, package and label accessory items according to documented instructions Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling Checks equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies Notifies leadership of any shut down situations Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and link subassemblies to final unit Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction. Compensation: $32.19/hr ST, $48.29/hr OT Under general supervision, fabricates the most complex cabinets and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in aircraft. Assists lead by overseeing projects and providing guidance, assistance and training to co-workers. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Fabricates complex high quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using stationary and hand held-tools. 2. Interprets material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail. Coordinates with supervision to ensure compliance with customer approved design samples. 3. Utilizes a variety of woodworking tools and techniques. 4. Complies with and champions safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and ensures the protection of aircraft interiors. 5. Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce, cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six-Sigma and other process improvement techniques. 6. Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work. Additional Functions: 1. Accepts Lead responsibilities when required. Mentors and trains lesser skilled technicians. 2. Oversees projects and coordinates with Lead to delegate tasks to assigned technicians. 3. Conducts safety audits and assists team members in doing safety audits. 4. Assists in maintaining shop equipment and associated JSAs. 5. Coordinates with other backshops when necessary. 6. Adapts to sudden schedule changes. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products. Four (4) years of experience in cabinetmaking. Experience in aerospace industry preferred. Possess a working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred. Other Requirements: 1. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 2. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. 3. Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift. 4. Must be computer literate.
