Position Summary
Assembles finished concrete floats and necessary hardware together in accordance with blueprint specifications. Prepares assembled floats to be shipped to final destination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Operates forklift to transport floats to assembly area. Places and aligns floats into correct order and position, following blueprint specifications.
* Obtains and prepares necessary materials and hardware, including bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and necessary hand tools.
* Positions and fastens all required hardware and material onto floats using wrenches, rubber mallets, and other appropriate hand tools.
* Checks and inspects floats to ensure that there are no major cracks or flaws. Ensures that floats and hardware materials are assembled appropriately.
* May patch and fill holes and gouges using hand tools such as trowels and scrapers.
* Learns and applies safety rules and techniques.

* Provide specialized technical assistance and interact with team members to implement solutions.
* Operate large manual, electric & pneumatic tools in the assembly and disassembly of large heavy steel structures, molds and fixtures
* Read and interpret standard work to perform necessary tasks.
* Be able to identify tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.
* Apply skill in the use of production tools
* Be available for overtime when required to meet project schedule.
* Cross-train within the department and support various manufacturing operations.
* Will frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, may lift items that weigh over 20lbs. and up to 40k pounds with mechanical lifting devices.
* Work outdoors at a limited capacity to meet project schedule.
* Engage in various physical activities to perform job including standing and kneeling.
* Perform tasks at elevated heights, utilizing various ladders, platforms, and harnesses.
* Must be willing to obtain certification to operate a powered industrial vehicle.
* Judgments and decisions at this level are guided by clearly described procedures and instructions, and the work consists of recurring steps involved in the assembly of parts, subassemblies, and larger components.
Qualifications You Must Have
* Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, industrial environment, or assembly labor position.
Qualifications We Prefer
* 2+ years' experience in composite or urethane manufacturing is highly desired.
* Experience in functions related to assembly production environments is highly desirable.
* Prior aerospace/marine industry experience is highly desirable.
* Active US DoD security clearance is highly desirable.
* Self-directed, motivated, and able to work in a team environment.
* Excellent attendance history, ability to produce error-free products, strives to meet or exceed job requirements.
* Experience with power tools (i.e Impact Drills, Multi Tool, Palm Sander, etc )
