What You Will Do:
Assembles light mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic components to exact specifications
Performs simple hydraulic and electrical checks to ensure the proper function of assembled equipment
Performs assigned re-manufacturing operations including disassembly, minor repairs, sorting, cleaning, polishing, inspection and re-assembly
Works from process and specifications sheets
Accurately processes necessary paperwork related to labor reporting and record keeping
Utilizes TPM tools improve safety, efficiency, increase service to our customers and reduce cost
Proactively communicates maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality or productivity to the appropriate leader
Ensures constant communication with management on daily activities and losses
Assists in training teammates

The Kit Assembly Associate - Day-to-Day:
You will need to understand and interpret instructions on production orders which describe the components including chemicals, supplies, and apparatus needed to assemble subcomponents or kits.
You will conduct quality and quantity control checks to ensure complete and total accuracy of multiple components including chemicals being packaged. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process for correctness.
Use machinery for assembly of some items (i.e. wire machine, dialysis tubing counter, paper cutter, etc). Safely and efficiently use necessary equipment, to accommodate the work and return to appropriate storage locations once job completed.
Stack finished products onto skids either individually or boxed. Move products throughout warehouse through the use of pallet jacks, cart, or hand truck.
Properly record information such as production process time and date packaged on work order via computer tracking system.
You will use computer and/or scanning gun to create labels for finished products. Mark items with the appropriate Flinn Item # when necessary.

What You Bring to the Team
You have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, SOP's and work orders.
Have experience with using measuring devices; such as but not limited to electronic balances and scales
Able to consistently meet productivity and quality standards while working in a safe and organized manner.
Deadline oriented - able to work effectively under a defined time limit to produce accurate results.
You demonstrate proficient problem resolution skills, using initiative and judgment in dealing with work flow and uncertain situations.
Possess mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as well as compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Wear appropriate safety shoes and other personal protective equipment where necessary; gloves and eyewear

Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
You will regularly lift and/or move 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance
Warehouse environment; the warehouse temperature fluctuates with outside temperatures. The facility is heated; however it is not air-conditioned.
Hours are 6:30am to 3PM
Will flex in other warehouse departments, if needed.

Qualifications
What You Need to be Successful
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Six months to a year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You possess and convey an open and inviting demeanor; works well in a team environment, self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills; reading, writing, and speaking; able to assist in the training of employees new to department in proper procedures as assigned.
