Responsibilities include reading and interpreting assembly instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists. This role involves gathering required tools and materials, positioning components using fixtures as needed, and assembling cables through cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and subassembly work. ________________________________________ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assembly Operations Assemble and manufacture wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical components following blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions. Perform wire preparation tasks, including crimping, stripping, soldering, splicing, and termination. Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety and production standards. Soldering & Wiring Use a soldering iron to connect wires to switches, terminal strips, and connectors. Route and tie wires according to specified layouts using color codes or numerical sequences on harness boards. Inspection & Quality Perform visual inspections and functional tests to verify quality and compliance. Accurately maintain production records, including logs and reports related to output, machine maintenance, and product issues. ________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS Skills & Attributes Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical & Safety Requirements Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs. Comfortable working with small parts, sometimes under a microscope or magnifier. Adherence to all company safety standards and protocols is required. Requirements Experience 2 to 3 years of prior experience in cable assembly or electronic manufacturing (required for Level II). Proficient in soldering and familiar with electrical wiring, connectors, and cable routing. Experience using assembly tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC/WHMA-610) are a plus but not mandatory. Cleaning forms after product is removed using a scraper, steel wool, shovels, sanders, solvents, etc. Setting up forms for pouring, including cutting and placing rebar, pulling or stressing rebar strand, tying mesh, and installing imbeds (including plates, vectors and core walls) and setting side rails. Pouring concrete, including placing, raking, and shoveling concrete. Finishing concrete using various tools/methods such as smooth float, steel trowel, brooming, raking and power trowels to achieve a desired finish. Sandblasting Duties Locating products stored in the Yard that have been approved for sandblasting. Sandblasting concrete surfaces according to the specifications of approved designs. Follows instructions, guidelines and procedures timely and accurately. Looks for ways to improve processes, reduce errors and increase efficiencies. Performing plant cleanup/housekeeping including putting away tools, sweeping debris and cleaning cluttered areas. Adhering to safety standards. Operating and maintaining man-lift, and other machinery including overhead cranes Driving yard vehicles, including truck, trailer, tractor and/or Tucker/Redimix truck on company grounds.
