Perform repetitive production assembly/packaging tasks which can require positioning of small, delicate parts with precision. Ability to meet performance standards including line flow and output. The ability to accurately record component information on specified forms is required. The quality of one's workmanship is of critical importance. Responsibilities/Tasks: Employee is tasked with: 1. Follow detailed assembly/packaging instructions, processes and procedures. 2. Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per company's Quality System. 3. Reports problems (and potential problems) with quality, processes, equipment and materials to production management. 4. Masterite Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is seeking experienced Solder Assemblers with the following qualifications: With supervision prepare and solders electronic components onto Printer Circuit Boards (PCBs) according to specifications. Key Performance Indictors: List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role: Perform basic SMT and thru hole hand component soldering per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001 Operate hand and/or automatic tools safely. Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and soldering stations on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly. Work with leaded and lead- free solder. Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions. Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools. Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components. Maintains department specific records. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent 2+yrs Soldering experience - must have fine pitch and through microscope. (Need to pass Soldering test) Soldering multiple components on a circuit board. Requires excellent speed and accuracy Familiarity with ovens, hot plates, hot air pencil, etc. Soldering Experience per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001. Ability to Read & Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, Traveler/Routers, Bills of Material & Wire Lists. Able to use a microscope to solder for extended periods Dexterity, steady hand to manipulate and position extremely small devices. Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented. Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping.
