JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Production Assembler I performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.
Job Core Responsibilities:
Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Reviews shop traveler route card, or uncomplicated schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
Position very small parts such as ceramic board, crystals, gages, fine pins, fire wire, solder particles and epoxy under binocular microscope using tweezers or positioning fixtures
Adjusts, bends, aligns and solders fine wires to resistors and base parts
Bonds or seals parts or assemblies with epoxies using direct heating elements or ovens and performs a variety of in-process testing
Demonstrates all safety policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

What You Will Do
Must be able to work extended periods of time in an environmentally controlled area (cleanroom).
Technicians are required to communicate in English and must be able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
The ability to use a computer to access work instructions, perform data entry, and complete on-line training is required.
You must wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all safety-related processes, procedures, and protocols.
Tasks may require the ability to push a cart, extend arms above shoulder height, and be able to visually inspect small parts.
Tasks may include working with chemicals (epoxies, adhesives, solvents, etc.) and following rigorous disciplined methodologies and instructions.
This is a 1st shift, onsite position.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of four years' relevant experience in manufacturing or operations.
Experience using general lab equipment like microscopes and small hand-held tools (tweezers, screwdrivers, etc.)
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience using manual or automated wire bonders or tab bonders as well as pull testing equipment.
Previous experience working in a cleanroom, around ESD sensitive parts is a plus.

With supervision prepare and solders electronic components onto Printer Circuit Boards (PCBs) according to specifications. Key Performance Indictors: List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role:
Perform basic SMT and thru hole hand component soldering per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001
Operate hand and/or automatic tools safely.
Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and soldering stations on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.
Work with leaded and lead- free solder.
Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions.
Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.
Maintains department specific records.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+yrs Soldering experience - must have fine pitch and through microscope. (Need to pass Soldering test)
