The ideal candidate will be competent in building Livestock, Commodity, and Gooseneck trailers from raw materials. Responsibilities: • Build assemblies by interpreting work orders, production orders, and blueprints. • Cut raw materials to length depending on specifications using a tape measure and portable power saw. • Position parts according to knowledge of unit or following blueprints. • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, hucks, rivets, etc as required by specs. • Drill or ream rivet holes as needed, align parts, and inserts rivets. • Lift raw materials, final products, and items manually (up to 51 pounds). • Check work against quality standards and sign off on Quality Sheet. • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards. • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities. • Follow all company rules and polices. • Provide a great level of attention to detail. • Follow all safety rules and quality standards. • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Qualifications Knowledge and Skills for this Position: • Knowledge of manufacturing production line preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings. • Ability to use calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges proficiently. • Ability to operate drills, huck gun, mono gun, rivet gun, grinders, saws, and various other hands proficiently. • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs to maximize effective manufacture and distribution of goods. • Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents. • Ability to produce quality products consistently. • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shields, gloves, etc.). • Deftness and attention to detail. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. • Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team. • Willing to work 40+ hours weekly.
