Job Summary (Purpose):
The Utility Worker primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. The employee is responsible for the processing of cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders).

Compensation:
DCI is proud to offer comprehensive compensation packages including competitive base pay and discretionary quarterly profit sharing bonuses to all part-time and full-time team members. Base pay is reviewed at a minimum on an annual basis.
Pay range: $50,600 - $55,800 per year. To ensure equity, our compensation philosophy is to bring people into new roles in the range of the mid-point of that role. Factors considered for pay include the level of skill, experience, training, external market factors, and internal value.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Responsible for assembly of Products. Must also perform quality checks and makes needed adjustments to product prior to releasing to next phase. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Performs necessary tasks required to prepare material for assembly, such as using both power and hand tools for making holes and attaching fasteners to bolt product together.
* Ability to read, interpret, and follow specific requirements and/or instructions of each work order as each is a custom order.
* Ability to accurately & precisely measure fabric & metal with tape measure to confirm that the product matches the order specifications.
* Ability to lift product up to 45 pounds either waist high and/or overhead and secure on the jig.
* Performs final quality checks on all product prior to sending on to shipping
* Follows safety requirements for the facility, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Participates in process improvements and housekeeping requirements within assigned area and/or within facility as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Align and fit structural assemblies manually
Assemble and fit prefabricated parts to form subassemblies
Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments and following blueprint lines and index points
Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance of parts
Read and interpret blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, or identities and relationships of parts.
Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools
Lay out and mark reference points and locations for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring and marking instruments
Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation
Keep assembly area clean and free of foreign object damage
Use chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks as required
Mix chemicals properly according to manufacturing instructions
