Job Description A shop hourly position with the primary responsibilities of assembling a wide variety of mechanical units at workstations from engineered drawings and blueprints using standard work for assembly. As a senior mechanic, The Mechanic I is an influencer, who leads junior mechanics or teams as assigned and demonstrates BAC's values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation. Know how to interpret customer changes and record a shortage. Demonstrated ability to operate overhead and JIB cranes; achieved through required certification. Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and ability to support root cause analysis for identified quality issues. Thorough knowledge of all hazards related to cranes, fixtures and related safety sensitive areas of the department and plant. Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards.
