THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Cleans, tags, and packs merchandise for pricing.
Determines which items are perishable and which are recyclable and discards unsellable items.
Assists other departments/positions, as needed.
Sets the pace for sorting.
Records production numbers daily. (i.e., carts, units, etc.)
Communicates regularly with management about store issues.
Actively engages customers on floor sales to increase donations and merchandise sales.
Ensures monthly revenue goals are met.
Provides excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers and donors; and responds to customer inquiries/complaints in a timely manner.
Ensures store and displays are maintained, clean, and attractive.
Maintains safety including all Health and Security policies and procedures.
Conducts tasks and other projects as assigned by the Thrift Store Manager/Supervisor.

THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Requires regular standing, walking, sitting, crouching, stooping, speaking, hearing and seeing.
Requires manual dexterity for regular repetitive finger motion such as frequent reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting objects and operating equipment.
Requires manual ability to operate a pallet jack.
May be exposed to handling hazardous materials such as broken glass.
THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated.
This position works predominantly indoors in a store, warehouse, or dock environment all of which are high traffic settings involving people, equipment and/or machinery.
May be exposed to dust in the performance of certain duties.
Noise levels are considered moderate to high.
May be exposed to extreme temperatures both hot and cold (variable weather).
Requirements:
THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION/LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Thrift store, retail store, warehouse, assembly line or restaurant experience, a plus.
THRIFT STORE FLOOR PRODUCTION WORKER KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:
Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written, a plus.
Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Perform in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills.
Ability to determine the value of donations.
Must exhibit strong customer service skills.
Clear communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent time management skills and detail oriented.
Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
Must be an effective team member.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
