Essential Functions · Assemble finished product that includes either valves and/or fittings. · Cap finished parts as needed · Use hand tools for various assemblies, and appropriate measuring devices. · Interpret shipping documents such as pick lists. · Perform 5S in work area, ensuring a clean and organized work area. · Enter customer order information into the Company's computer system for recording labor time. · May perform other necessary tasks in the warehouse/shipping as needed. · Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements · Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures. · Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager. Competencies · Computer data entry skills. · Knowledge of SSP's warehouse/shipping processes. · Knowledge of Company products. · Skill at eye-hand coordination for assembly operations · Ability to read and understand Pick List and other customer order information · Basic math (add, subtract, multiple, etc.) · Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work Work Environment · Warehouse/shipping work environment. · May require extended work hours · Lifting and picking up boxes/totes (5 to 35 lbs.) · Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods. · Extended periods of sitting at an assembly bench.
