REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
The production technician supports many functions for the audio visual team. They support the following events: Mission Command Training, (Joint, CORP, Division, and Brigade) War Fighters (Joint Operations, CORP, Division, and Brigade) they also coordinate with the Command Information Center for Video Teleconferences set up Senior Mentor Conferences workshops. These are either supported at the exercise unit (worldwide) location or here at Ft. Leavenworth. All Seminar Classes, After Action Reviews, Combine Arms Rehearsals, Battle Update Briefs, and Media Engagement Events are recorded. Also the production technician takes many still photos and videos of the above events. Any and all of these products are used by the army in their training of the units.
The production technician places these products into a take home training packet that can be used by the exercised unit and the Operation Group back in Ft. Leavenworth.
They also have to edit, cut and provide a DVD or CD of the above products to the Army so that they can review and use them in an informed manner when training an exercised unit. At Ft. Leavenworth the production technician is tasked to help set up the team conference rooms for classes and briefings. The production technician also sets up LCD projectors and computers throughout the team building to support training on the teams.

Essential Duties:
Functional Operations:
Initiate, operate, recover, and shut down production machines according to defined procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of remote environmental monitoring equipment. This equipment combines specialized computer hardware, radio telemetry, and digital and analog sensors to monitor and report in real time environmental conditions such as rainfall, stream levels, temperature, wind, humidity, barometric pressure.
* Performs routine and emergency maintenance of remote environmental monitoring equipment. Schedules semi-annual maintenance of Flood Warning System gauges within Johnson County. Arranges resources including maintained batteries and other parts. Coordinates with schedules of other personnel to provide needed maintenance. Configures and maintains alarm systems with paging capability for notification to assigned maintenance person(s) of system failures. Responds to system or personnel requests for emergency troubleshooting and repair within the prescribed time of notification.
* Operates flood warning software on PC hardware in Windows 11 operating systems. Coordinates with the IT Department on configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer systems used to operate flood warning software systems. These include data acquisition, databases, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, ftp sites, and web services software.
* Generates and maintains Geographic Information System (GIS) databases including storm drainage systems and environmental monitoring equipment. Uses GIS database to perform analysis of data, including storm routing, radio path survey, drainage basin characteristics, environmental parameter displays and reports. Maintains flood warning system database on a Windows 11 operating system and Elements 360 cloud hosted database. Maintains various databases related to maintenance operations.
* Provides information to assure compliance with agreements between the City and other governmental agencies. Maintains and provides records of equipment performance and downtime. Provides rainfall records to Johnson County and others as requested or required by agreements. Maintains and provides inventories of spare parts and equipment.
* Performs direct readings of stream flows and maintains direct reading equipment. Procures and maintains equipment for this task available to be used at short notice. Develops discharge measurements and maintains stage-discharge relationships for gauge sites.
* Provides assistance to Civil Engineer (Flood Warning) and Supervisory Civil Engineer. Performs tasks as assigned to assist in maintenance of the Stormwatch web site and other division goals.
* Assists the public by responding to questions or requests for information either in person, by phone or by electronic mail.
* Assists with emergency operations, including snow removal, as required.

This position is full time on-site, we are not offering hybrid, remote, or flex schedules at this time.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Perform the tasks required to properly and accurately select, package, label, ship, and track our products which are sent to customers and patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Review daily orders and identify rush shipments which must be given priority
Verify that the item(s) being shipped matches its label and meets the specifications required by the shipping order for size, style, quantity, etc.
Prepare items for shipment by building the correct size box and utilizing the appropriate packing materials
Inspect the condition of the product and ensure the item to be shipped is not damaged
Report any damaged items to management immediately upon discovery
Generate Bills of Lading for shipments
Package and label the item to prepare it for shipment
Complete the appropriate documentation for all items shipped by recording identifying information of the product and transport information in the shipping records
Move products within the facility by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks or other material handling equipment.
Assist with loading shipments onto trucks
Confirm that drivers depart with the appropriate paperwork
Ensure that shipping stations are in working order and always stocked with appropriate materials. Notify management when a replenishment order is required
Make safety a priority consideration with all actions taken. Immediately report any unsafe or potentially unsafe situation upon discovery
Always maintain a clean and organized environment by sweeping, straightening, and verifying all items are in their correct locations utilizing 5S procedures, and by participating in Kaizen events
Assist others within the facility as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
REQUIRED:
1 year of experience in a physical environment
Basic computer skills
PREFERRED:
3 years of warehouse, shipping, or material handling experience

Vision: Use vision to read, write, type, operate office, electronic, and manufacturing equipment, and make fine adjustments.

Motor Coordination: Requires hands to operate equipment.
Lift/Carry: Regularly lift, push, and move up to 50lbs.
Environment: Office and warehouse environments may be dust, contain sharp edges, include areas that are not well lit, the floor may be uneven or cracked, and the facility may be subject to variations in temperature.
