Job Summary: The Mechanical Assembly Lead is responsible for actively participating in and coordinating mechanical assembly operations on the production floor. In addition to performing hands-on assembly tasks, the Lead supports a team of mechanical assemblers to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. This role requires a strong mechanical background, leadership through example, and effective communication with both team members and management. Essential Functions: * Perform mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with written instructions and specifications. * Coordinate daily activities and task assignments within the mechanical assembly team. * Support team members by answering questions, clarifying instructions, and assisting with troubleshooting. * Ensure any deviations from written instructions are documented and communicated to the floor supervisor and manufacturing engineer. * Help maintain production flow and meet schedule targets by working alongside the team. * Train and mentor new assemblers on tools, techniques, and safety procedures. * Conduct informal quality checks and help identify areas for improvement. * Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues. * Maintain clear documentation of assembly processes, deviations, and feedback. * Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
