Description As a Fabrication Technician you will perform wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operate equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch deposition, testing, and diffusion. Manage workflows to optimize equipment output performance. Responsibilities * Perform wafer fabrication by following work instruction and documented procedures * Operate equipment to perform various stages of the wafer fabrication process * Perform measurements and analysis of critical parameters and record data * Adhere to clean room protocol and work practices, including wearing PPE for long periods of time * Maintain proper documentation and records * Move materials or finished good from one location to another; may involve pushing, pulling, or lifting (up to 20 pounds) or bending * Visually inspect and recognize quality defects * Handle fragile GaAs wafers and precious metals, such as gold and platinum * Mix wet chemistries * Collect and log data into computer-based applications Responsibilities PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Performs wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operates equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch and diffusion. In senior and highly skilled levels, performs equipment set-up and calibration, and may perform routine preventative maintenance tasks. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. The section provides essential services to the Public and other City Departments including, but not limited to, the preparation and review of, CEQA documents, transportation planning documents, interdepartmental planning documents, and community engagement activities and meetings. The successful candidate may be required to be out in the field to consult with developers, outside agency representatives, internal project representatives, and the public on project requirements and processes, develop and recommend policies, operational procedures, and guidelines. The incumbent may be assigned supervision of staff. The successful candidate will work within the Plan Review Section of UP&E. This unit provides customer service to the Public and other City Departments including, but not limited to, locating existing water and sewer facilities within the right of way, reviewing utilities plans for conformance to the City's Standard Drawings and Specifications, coordination in regards to new development projects, document control pertaining to Utility Agreements, Reimbursement Agreements, Sewer and Water Connection Agreements, and Utility Extraterritorial Agreements that are recorded with the County Recorder's Office as well as write development projects conditions of approval pertaining to water and sewer facilities per the Fresno Municipal Code Two vacancies currently exist in the Department of Public Works.
