NW Service Enterprises, Inc. (NWS) Professional Assembly is seeking candidates for Assembly Technician, working on-site at local Retail Stores such as Lowes and Walmart assembling merchandise and displays. You will assemble various products, including Barbecues, Bikes, Wheelbarrows, Lawn Tractors, Work Benches, and Furniture.
Available work can fluctuate depending on the season, spiking for the Spring through Summer and then again during the Holidays. We offer flexible scheduling, which is excellent for college students searching for part-time work. We are seeking a Day-Shift availability.

Responsibilities include:
Provide quality assembly and repair products and merchandise, using manufacturer instructions while adhering to retailer rules and guidelines.

Check-in with Retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
Generate and complete invoices daily.
Reports and communicates effectively to the Area Manager.
Maintains a safe and clean workspace, leaving clients with a clean build area.

Essential Functions
Interpret applicable service manuals and execute routine maintenance of observatory systems and equipment.
Provide suggestions and feedback for improvements to mechanical maintenance procedures.
Identify discrepancies in documentation, red-line drawings, and reports for updating/correction.
Independently perform basic mechanical repairs and installations and assist with repairs of higher complexity.
Support troubleshooting mechanical subsystems of moderate to low complexity.
Assist in preparing the observatory for scientific and engineering operations by means of leading safety and pre-movement inspections.
Interpret mechanical part fabrication and assembly drawings with support and perform basic general fabrication tasks with guidance from senior technicians
Operate Cranes, Forklifts, & Aerial Work Platforms as required.
Ability to speak and write effectively.
Ensure consumables, spares, tools, and test equipment are organized and maintained.
Provide guidance to lower-level technicians.

The ETCS services shall be made available on site and for a full-time basis.
The ETCS will be assigned to support individual construction projects. Projects assigned will vary in type, complexity, and magnitude including structures and related work such as office and shop buildings, airfield expansions, utility installation, wharf repairs, industrial facilities, etc. Projects may be in the $5M to $400M+ range.
Furnish their designated Government representatives with documentation indicating whether the construction conforms to the contract requirements.
Act as the primary person responsible for monitoring construction contractor's efforts with regards to on-site quality assurance and safety compliance.
Coordinate construction operations between contractors, station personnel, and other government agencies.

The ETCS will perform independent support services to satisfy the operational objectives of the NAVFAC Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC), Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) Director, or the Resident Officers in Charge of Construction (ROICC). Services rendered by the ETCS shall include all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the work described in the paragraphs below. The ETCS services shall be made available on site and for a full-time basis.
The ETCS will be assigned to support individual construction projects. Projects assigned will vary in type, complexity, and magnitude including structures and related work such as office and shop buildings, airfield expansions, utility installation, wharf repairs, industrial facilities, etc. Projects may be in the $5M to $400M+ range.
Furnish their designated Government representatives with documentation indicating whether the construction conforms to the contract requirements.
Act as the primary person responsible for monitoring construction contractor's efforts with regards to on-site quality assurance and safety compliance.
Coordinate construction operations between contractors, station personnel, and other government agencies.
Provide technical oversight of multiple construction contracts
Assess the adequacy of the construction contractor's quality control program.
Participate in all “Preconstruction Meetings”, “Post-Award Kickoff Meetings”, and "Partnering" activities during construction (workshops, meetings, etc.) as required. Attend quality control, preparatory and initial meetings and monitor three-phases of control checklists for accuracy and thoroughness.
Follow NAVFAC Business Process Management System (BPMS), , Kilo-Grams and associated Naval Engineering Training and Operating Procedures Standards (NETOPS) in the execution of required tasks.
Act in direct support the construction manager/construction oversight engineer as required if such duties are not specifically outlined herein.
Review/Analyze Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals and provide the Government with comments and recommendations.
Maintain working files utilizing the electronic Construction Management System (eCMS), Share Point, or other approve project specific Construction Management system authorized for the project.
Monitor compliance with environmental protection requirements and document all findings in QA log
Report and document instances of non-compliance with quality control and safety requirements.
Monitor and document construction surveying, materials and system testing conducted by the construction contractor.
Provide review/analysis and notes/comments/recommendations on Contractor's Requests for Payment, including Complete, the monthly field pay estimate worksheet for each construction contract with the construction contractor's representative. Inspect material stored off-site, where applicable.
Coordinate with Government representatives and appropriate construction contractor personnel before conducting required inspections and meetings such as the NAVFAC Red Zone meeting (coordination meeting typically held at 75% project completion).
Review interim and final DD 1354 documentation and provide the Government with comments and recommendations.
Assist in Constructability reviews as requested. Provide written review comments and recommendations.
Monitor the preparation of as-built activities of contractors to ensure that those documents are being prepared on an on-going basis. Review contractor submissions of as-built drawings for completeness and
accuracy and advise the appropriate Government personnel in writing as to the acceptability of such submissions. • Participate in final acceptance and testing of major building systems including but not limited to fire protection certification, elevator certifications, ensuring contractor compliance in the areas of Testing and Balancing (TABs), Duct Air Leakage Testing (DALTS), Digital Control Systems (DDC) for HVAC systems. Provide notes/comments/recommendations for acceptance or rejection of the witnessed system based on contract document conformance.
Review contractor correspondence and recommend an appropriate response.
Requirements:
The ETCS individual shall meet or exceed the following qualifications (the Government reserves the right to reject any service provider that does not meet the standards described in the PWS):
Five (5) years of recent experience within the last ten (10) years as a construction inspector or tradesperson and shall have a basic understating of engineering, architecture or construction trades.
Current certification in concrete inspection, structural steel inspection, plumbing inspection, electrical inspection, HVAC inspection and / or other trade related inspection certifications are desirable but not required.
Current certification of successful completion of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)/Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Construction Quality Management for Contractors course. This course may be completed within 45 calendar days of task order award. The certificate is valid for 5 years. If the individual's certificate expires during the period of performance of a Task Order, the individual must retake the course to remain current.
Knowledge of the three-phases of control and Construction Quality Management process is required.
Sound understanding of construction concepts, principles and practices applicable to multi-disciplined engineering projects and the design, layout, and supervision of construction operation.
Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods and construction management skills.
Provide satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship. (U.S. or naturalized). Task orders may allow waiver of this requirement should projects allow in certain regions.
The Contractor shall obtain all required corporate and personnel Security Clearances prior to commencement of work. The Contractor shall ensure that a list of all personnel with Security Clearances is
maintained and current, including clearances that are pending. Each task order shall establish necessary base/building access requirements.
