Under the direction of the Production Superintendent, the Production Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and operation of 3 air separation columns and one neon refinery that produce oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and neon. Primary Responsibilities: Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups and calibrations. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and plant upsets. Measures and records various data associated with operating equipment. Utilizes standard repair procedures when necessary. The Assembly Technician is responsible to investigate product, test, and process issues that arise during manufacturing. Requirements · Positions parts according to work instructions or following blueprints. · Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. · Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts. · Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation. · Dissembles brake boosters, air-brake compressors, and values for salvage of parts. · Participate in and support Carlisle Operating System (COS) initiatives. · Participate in COS events to improve productivity and reduce waste. · Work with management team t identify continuous improvement projects utilizing lean and six sigma principles to drive operational excellence and improve profitability. · Work with management team to promote waste identification and elimination by utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles of Kaizen. · Other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager. · Six to 12 months of employment experience in a manufacturing environment. · Mechanical or machinery related experience and/or training preferred. · Ability to read blueprints. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Good problem solving skills · Focus on continuous improvement and Lean principles. · Ability to work in a team environment. · Normal working conditions require continual standing, walking, bending, reaching, and eye/hand/foot coordination. Frequently required to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. POSITION STATEMENT: The Woodshop Assembler will be responsible to produce the necessary product in a timely fashion within Wieland quality standards. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Measure, cut and build frames - prepare them to be painted. * Place threaded inserts and prepare products for delivery. * Read a cut/material list and use all types of machines and hand/power tools to cut each piece for a full job. * Use bandsaws, table saws, routers, sanders and timesaver sanders. * Build any other products our customers request (ie. repairs, special jobs, etc.). * Ability to read a tape measure up to 1/32 inch. * Demonstrate basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. * Ability to speak and read English. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Administrative and Business Skills: * Produce or assemble components of articles, such as fixtures/jigs, furniture wood frames or solid surfaces parts. * Verify dimensions or check the quality or fit of pieces to ensure adherence to specifications. * Set up or operate machines, including power saws, jointers, pneumatic clamps, molders, variety of staple guns, cliquer press and hand tools. * Attach parts or subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws or clamps. * Trim, sand or scrape surfaces or joints to prepare articles for delivery. * Perform final touch-ups with sandpaper, waxing and buffing, on a variety of surfaces including Corian. * Read and understand daily schedules. * Schedule individual work time according to daily schedule. Technical Skills: * Follow specifications to produce necessary product. * Demonstrate ability to use basic hand tools. * Put away finished products in specified places. 7am-3: 30 M-F possible OT pay: $21.50/HR 100% onsite Activities & Responsibilities: Take lead role in sterilization, stock/replenish supplies, equipment set up, and all related packaging operations. Execute packaging and inspection processes using batch records and SOPs. Responsible for verifying the calibration of scales and identification of supplies to assigned project lot. Inspect product for content/potency in the manufacturing area procedures. Assigned job duties will include Component Preparation, Capping, Inspection, and Packaging. Learn the fundamentals necessary to work in the Capping and Packaging Operations. This will include the ability to perform the tasks within each operation. Operate various equipment as assigned. Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision direction. Report to and follow direction of Supervisor or PT3 technicians. Perform other tasks in the absence of supervisor or PT3 technicians. Responsible for proper disposal of hazardous chemicals. Perform all other duties as assigned. Scope: This position has no direct reports. Background Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. College course work preferred. Two or more years of aseptic manufacturing experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Must possess working knowledge and understanding of GMP compliance regulations. Must be able to communicate effectively (both oral and written) using proper tone and verbal form. Must possess a strong desire and willingness to continue to broaden knowledge and develop professionally. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and arms to handle or move objects and perform fine motor manipulation.
