We currently have an opening in our Manufacturing department for a Coating Technician WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON. Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a desire to work are necessary qualities. Coating Technician - Essential Duties The primary responsibilities of the IMCO Coating Technician are to ensure that all procedures are followed in the pre-coat, coating, and post-coat process to produce properly coated tools according to the processes and quality levels defined. The Coating Technician will perform other duties as assigned and in support of the Production and/or Coating Departments. Additional duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Pre-coat - assist with initial washing of tools, loading of fixtures for surface-prep, and final wash before coat. Coat - positioning tool cart in coat machine. Running the coat machine. Post-coat/treat - inspect / measure tool adhesion and coating thickness. Post-treat tools. Transport tool trays on carts to predetermined areas. Routine, preventative maintenance of coating and/or tool wash machine(s). Other duties, as requested by the Coating Center Manager or Executive Management. IMCO employees are expected to adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures. IMCO's primary safety goal is that all of our employees return home at the end of their workday without injury and without illness. Experience & Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience with tool coating processes a plus! Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. Adequate mathematic skills - a math test will be given. Adequate communication skills that allow for proper information exchange (receiving and disseminating information). Must follow all safety rules to prevent injury to self and others. This position requires the ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. This position requires regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Other requirements are: Must be able to ambulate safely in a manufacturing environment, while pushing a tool cart. Must have flexibility of hands and fingers in order to handle tools and tool trays safely. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, ability to differentiate colors on gages and blueprints, and depth perception. Ability to lift and carry items of varying weight not to exceed 45 lbs. Ability to push a coating cart loaded with tools to/from the coat machine (less than 50 feet). Wage & Schedules We have a position available on the following shift, with a base rate of $18.50/hour. 1st Shift, Monday thru Friday, 7:00a - 4:00p with two 15-minute paid breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
