Mueller is the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries and we currently have an opening in our Kimball, TN plant for an hourly Technical Assembler.
Job Responsibilities:
Work Safely in the Manufacturing Production EnvironmentRead blueprints, diagrams, manuals, plans, materials, electrical schematics, and specifications as necessary with an emphasis placed on attention to detail.Adhere to specifications through operations; measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Operate hand power tools, presses, drills, saws, lifts, and control equipment efficiently and safely.Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing Perform quality control checks and verification of work order specifications Operate forklifts and overhead cranes with approved rigging methods as directed Keep up-to-date information and knowledge of equipment installed, completing production and quality logs, and set-up for manufacturing operation.Must be able to operate with minimal supervision, as required, and utilize strong troubleshooting skills.Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions utilizing 5s standards. General math skills, the ability to understand measuring/measurement concepts/applications, and familiarity with basic tools used in assembling electrical components Knowledge of fundamental electronics and electrical principles May provide hands on and verbal job function training to coworkers as needed.Perform other routine duties as directed

Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds.Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.Ability to use power tools, air tools and other vibratory tools.Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.Ability to work around hot heavy machinery Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, subject to seasonal weather (hot/cold)

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.(3) or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment assembling electronic components Must have good written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude required Forklift and overhead crane experience Experience with CNC machines is a plus.Welding experience is a plus.

Modine is currently hiring 3 ^rd Shift Chiller Assembly Technicians who are responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Chiller Assembly Technicians are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands. The Chiller Assembly Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Use various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications

· Perform brazing for refrigeration and water circuit per print requirements

· Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system

· Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units

· Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes

· Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms

· Keep work area neat, clean and orderly

· Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred, this includes the ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications.

Assembly Technician - 3rd Shift

Our Fletcher, NC facility is looking for Assembly Technicians to join our wonderful team. This position is responsible for the assembly of carriers and components for tandem front and rear heavy-duty drive axles according to standard work instructions and engineering specifications in a safe and quality-driven manner.

The Assembly Technician will work in a team environment while using systems and processes such as no-fault forward, mistake avoidance, alert systems, and self and succession checks to ensure no issues are passed to the next operation. In the event any issues or non-conformities are discovered, the Assembly Technician must follow procedures and/or escalate to the Team Lead or Facilitator.

$21.49 - $27.58 HOURLY PAY- Depending on Experience with a $1.00 Shift Differential

Compensation:

Responsibilities:

• Candidates are expected to work with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers to ensure required specifications are met
• Candidates must also be able to read, comprehend and execute work instructions as well as read and comprehend bills of materials and control panels
• All safety requirements such as proper use of all PPE, safe machinery operation, and hand tool operation must be followed. 5-S standards are expected
• Candidates are required to actively participate in employee engagement and Kaizen events to assist in achieving site initiatives as outlined in the Meritor Production System
