Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a LV Switchgear Wiring Technician located in Dallas, Texas.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the LV Switchgear Wiring Technician role is responsible for prepping wiring subassemblies for our switchgear projects.
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
What a typical day looks like:
Read and interpret work orders, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and prints to manufacture wiring subassemblies for relay and control panels
Crimp, strip, cut, pull, and bundle wiring according to plans
Ensure wiring is properly labeled and marked
Connect cut wires to components, and routing the wire and cables in an orderly fashion
Ensure quality workmanship of all wires and components
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
Complete other duties as assigned
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in wiring or installing electrical components OR completion of a technical vocational program
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management
Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams
Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, wire crimpers, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Checks to see that materials are properly flowing from crushed stone and raw materials storage to raw grinding mills, blending silos and kiln. That clinker is properly flowing from kiln to cooler to clinker storage, and that coal is properly flowing to coal mill.
* Makes regular visual inspections of raw grinding, finish grinding, blending, clinker burning and cooling, material conveying and coal mill equipment to see that they are functioning properly. Reports malfunctions and repair problems to Production Supervisor and Control Room Operator
* Lubricates compressors, pumps, coal mill gears. Checks operation of automatic lubricating system, adds lubricants when necessary.
* Assists maintenance and repair personnel in repair of equipment.
* Cleans assigned areas. Operate bobcat when necessary to clear area to allow repairmen to get at equipment in making repairs.
* Mixes finish grinding additives when necessary.
* Controls feed rate of materials coming from hoppers by making adjustments to reheostat controls, as directed by Control Room Operator or Supervisor.
* Cleans area around coal and raw material hoppers, lower level feeders to surge bins, shale crusher building, and other assigned areas.
* Exchanges information with Supervisors regarding current operating conditions.
* Operation of the jockey truck to transport trailers as needed.
