Load paperboard blanks and window film; align to meet job requirements. Set glue systems and guides to ensure accurate placement and registration. Conduct continuous in-process checks (registration, glue adhesion, film placement). Maintain target run speeds while meeting quality standards. Identify and prevent defects: misaligned windows, glue overflow, scratches, wrinkles. Complete production/quality documentation: counts, downtime, and waste. Partner with QC and finishing teams to resolve any issues quickly. Maintenance & safety Perform routine preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement. Troubleshoot minor mechanical/electrical problems to keep production moving. Adhere to safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE, housekeeping). Team collaboration Work closely with feeders, packers, and helpers to optimize throughput. Communicate status, material needs, and mechanical concerns to supervisors. Assist with training apprentices or new hires when needed. What you bring Experience operating finishing/packaging machinery; folding carton or print/packaging preferred. Mechanical skill for setups, adjustments, and light maintenance. Strong quality mindset and attention to detail. Ability to read job tickets, work orders, and specifications. Competent with basic math and measurements. Preferred Hands-on windowing machine experience. Familiarity with adhesives, window films, and board substrates. Forklift certification or safe material-moving experience. Physical requirements Stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during shifts. Work effectively around noise, dust, and moving equipment. About the job… The Assembler I Run production processes according to the Safety & Quality standards and improve them as per the business demand. This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA. Your shift schedule will be Monday through Friday, 2:00PM - 10:30PM, overtime as needed including weekends. This role requires the use of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and pneumatic equipment in a fast-paced assembly line environment. Essential Job Functions: Install hydraulic and electrical components accurately and efficiently. Fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets, cotter pins, spaced clips, and other fasteners with hand and pneumatic power tools (including impact wrenches). Position and secure engine block components to truck bodies using wrenches, hammers, and power hoists. Assemble and bolt subassemblies, power modules, and fan housings; set proper fan clearance using torque wrenches and hand tools. Operate drills, riveting machines, and hydraulic crimping machines as needed. Identify, distribute, and stage parts to proper locations. Perform testing on assemblies to verify correct installation and functionality. Operate forklift and crane/hoist equipment when required. Accurately record work order data and inventory transactions. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work instructions. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment. Reports to: Manager, Facility Operations or Supervisor, Production The Production Technician is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team and SOPs. These responsibilities include post-harvest tasks including the drying and curing stage all the way through trimming, packaging, and labeling the product. This position works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment. Pay: $16 Schedule: Full time / Including weekends Major Areas of Responsibility include: •Assists in the post-harvest plant processing of cannabis. •Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, and inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation. •Maintains a clean and organized work environment. •Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang to be dried. •Hand trims and/or operates a trimming machine to remove excess plant material. •Weighs, records, and shreds plants waste and adds a non-cannabis medium for compliant disposal. •Receives instructions and assists on tasks as delegated by management team. •Works in a quick and efficient manner. •Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
