The Assembler I position will inspect, weigh, package, and sort out defective medical devices as required.

What You'll Do:

+ Maintain and atmosphere of frequent interaction with all department personnel (including more experienced technicians, coordinator, supervisor and administrators) for decision making, and receiving of assignments.

FUNCTION: Perform the necessary inspection and assembly work on a variety of new technology gas turbine engines. Follow specified procedures to perform assembly related activities including all aspects of engine assembly, assembly tooling usage, critical measurements, and instrumentation management during assembly operations. Assist in adjustments to tools and equipment as necessary to perform work and meet process requirements during engine assembly.
What You Will Do:
Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established.
Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned.
Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components.
Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within specified limits.
Use mechanic's hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.
Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.
Perform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications.
May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.

Reviews layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders in preparation for solders metal components.
Cuts, prepares and welds metal skid parts according to the drawing.
Selects and installs torch, torch tip and flux, according to soldering specifications or type and thickness of metal.
Connects and turns regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure to obtain desired flame.
Ignites torch.
Cleans and prepares parts or components in accordance to specifications prior to assembly.
Heats workpiece to required temperature, using hand torch.
Positions workpieces and clamps together or assembles in jigs or fixtures.
Inspects finished workpiece for conformance to specifications.
Cleans parts using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical bath post brazing.
Hydrostatically tests system to required pressure and inspects for leaks.
Repairs any leaks that are found during the hydro test process.
Spray paints piping to customer required color.
Breaks down fully completed skid system and prepares it for shipping using crates and other packing materials.
Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

What You Will Do:
Product Safety, Certification & Validation (PSC&V) is looking for a motivated, high energy individual to support experimental military and commercial jet engine assembly and test activities.
The Test Engineer must possess a sufficient depth and knowledge of skills to support validation programs, such as assembly, instrumentation, and testing techniques in jet engine development, industrial relations, and overall leadership skills in a high paced environment.
* The Test Engineer is responsible to ensure assembly operations readiness and flawless execution of test vehicle builds, tests, teardowns, and inspections.
* He/she will interface with a cross functional team to ensure test and validation requirements are being met on time and within budget.
* The Test Engineer will begin within Assembly Operations for all assigned programs.
* Current Assembly Operations activity includes Next Generation Product Family of engines as well as advanced engine programs, operational commercial engine programs, operational military engine programs and auxiliary power units.
* Frequent off-shift coverage and ability to flex schedule to cover weekends (approximately 25%) is required to support 24/7 operations.
* Some travel may be required for continuous learning and to support program validation requirements.
* Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, and daily coordination in executing build and teardown requirements.
* Provide innovative solutions to test & validation requirements, often in a high-pressure environment while working with some supervision.
