UMFS assessment coordinator job description
Our population is comprised of children form ages 6 to 22, with autism and other neurological differences, emotional, learning, developmental, and intellectual disabilities, as well as other impairments. 8:1 ratios for student to Teachers/Support Staff.
What we are looking for:
A Coordinator to structure instruction for struggling learners through small group, push in, or pull out models. Emphasis on the creation of customized learning plans including the use of academic mastery data reports and possible use of student data journals as efficacy building instructional tools for increased learner success. Coordinate assessment, generate data analysis at the school level, and assist in the planning process for school improvement.
What you will need:
Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education, Administration or related area. Master's degree preferred in Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Guidance, or related field. Three years of successful experience with classroom instruction, testing, tutoring and/or remediation services.
