As a Facility Condition Assessor, you'll conduct in-depth evaluations of commercial, institutional, and municipal buildings across the U.S. Your work will directly support capital planning, energy and sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities Conduct on-site facility assessments reviewing condition, energy and operational performance using mobile software (iPad-based). Review and evaluate major building systems (MEP), structures, interiors, exteriors, and site components. Identify system types, conditions, remaining useful life, deficiencies, and recommend mitigation strategies. Provide planning-level cost estimates and recommendations for repairs or replacements. Interview stakeholders and review property records and documentation. Assemble preliminary asset inventories from a variety of sources including but not limited to construction drawings (mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil), review of building automation systems front-end system, and facility staff interviews. Ability to operate LiDAR and / or photogrammetry equipment for site data capture. Compile detailed reports using asset management software and Excel. Travel approximately 50% of the time, and Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Building Science, or related field. Minimum of 1 year in building assessments, energy audits, or facility operations. Additional Qualifications: Familiarity with ASTM E2018-01 standards. Understanding of building envelopes, MEP systems, and construction practices. Cost estimating for building repairs and replacements. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings to determine preliminary asset inventories. Ability to recognize building automation system configuration(s); including front-end graphical user interface controllability, networked systems, and hardware (actuators/valves). Recognize energy saving features associated with mechanical equipment. Strong written and verbal communication. Excellent Excel skills and ability to learn new software quickly. This person will lead comprehensive security assessments and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. This role is critical in evaluating, validating, and documenting security controls across systems to maintain a robust security posture and meet regulatory requirements. This is a remote position. Responsibilities: Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of implemented controls and control enhancements to determine the effectiveness of the controls, i.e., the extent to which the controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with respect to meeting the security and privacy requirements for the system and the organization. Schedule and lead System Assessments out-briefs with different stakeholders and provide SAP, SAR, security recommendations and system certifications. Prepare security, privacy, and supply chain assessment reports containing the results and findings from the assessment. Provide an assessment of the severity of the deficiencies discovered in the system, environment of operation, and common controls and recommend corrective actions to address the identified vulnerabilities. Develop and execute a comprehensive Security Controls Test (SCT) plan that details all assessment activities, including required vulnerability scans and penetration testing aligned with DHS RVA standards, guidelines, and templates. The plan should define coordination requirements, scope of controls, and any special interest items to be assessed. Position Summary: The Cybersecurity Technical Assessor is responsible for conducting in-depth technical assessments of client environments to identify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement. This role involves evaluating system configurations, network architecture, cloud deployments, and security controls against industry standards and best practices such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001. The assessor will produce clear, actionable reports and provide guidance to clients on improving their security posture. This position is based in Texas and requires 60% travel across the state. Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on cybersecurity assessments for election infrastructure at counties, cities, and states. Evaluate the effectiveness of technical controls related to identity and access management, endpoint protection, patch management, secure configuration, network segmentation, data protection, and incident response. Assess compliance against cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls, CMMC, HIPAA, CJIS, etc.). Conduct interviews with client personnel and review documentation to understand policies, procedures, and control implementation. Prepare detailed assessment reports, including risk findings, maturity ratings, and prioritized recommendations. Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders, both technical and executive. Support the development and continual improvement of assessment methodologies, tools, and templates. Collaborate with other consultants, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality services. Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity trends. Qualifications: Required: Understanding of security controls in IT environments, including operating systems, network infrastructure, cloud services, and identity systems. Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or CMMC. Ability to review and assess technical configurations and documentation, such as firewall rules, GPOs, system hardening baselines, or logging setups. Strong written communication skills and the ability to deliver client-ready reports. Ability to explain technical findings in plain language for non-technical audiences. Experience working with clients in a consulting capacity and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously Preferred: One or more relevant certifications such as security+ or other. Understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure. Exposure to security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, EDR platforms, or configuration analyzers. Experience supporting public sector clients or regulated industries.
