Collaborates with the Market Asset Protection Manager and Store Leadership to support a culture of shrink prevention through operational excellence, theft controls and people development, along with a culture of safety with 200% accountability. Oversees and ensures the effectiveness of Asset Protection shrink prevention initiatives, company directives and safety efforts to maintain an open environment of integrity and excellence.

What You'll be Doing:
Manages leadership of the Asset Protection team including hiring, performance reviews, providing timely feedback, scheduling within budget standards and overall performance as it aligns to company programs and initiatives.Manages and participates in investigations of internal/external losses and criminal acts and ensures store wide execution of deterrence methods, including merchandise protection, by teaching, training and providing consistent follow up to store leadership.Serves as a permanent member of the store's Safety Committee team and promotes the 200% safety accountability expectation.Conducts safety auditing to identify any unsafe conditions and behavior, then determine and implement strategies to remedy any concerns.Ensures physical security of assigned unit, e.g. AP technology, fire protection system and associated alarms are operational, key control is properly maintained, doors are locked when designated by policy and staff is appropriately trained.Develops and implements strategies related to store's shrink plans and ensures that Asset Protection goals are accomplished.Maintains professional company standards within the Asset Protection office as it serves for a point of contact with outside/third party authorities.Reviews financial reports and area specific processes to determine root cause analysis of issues identified and partners with store leadership to assist with resolutions.Conducts pre and post inventory assessments and analysis.Attend, participate and present at store meetings, new team member orientation and department specific meetings with Asset Protection related topics.This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required.

Summary: The Asset Protection Coordinator ("APC") is primarily responsible for preventing and deterring theft and limiting the loss of Company assets/products in the store(s) to which he or she is assigned, through provision of attentive customer service and the effective implementation of other loss prevention programs and strategies. While the APC reports directly to a Store Manager ("SM"), he or she will also work closely with the Asset Protection and Analytics Department to understand and implement loss prevention programs and strategies with the assigned store(s). The APC also gathers information and provides feedback about theft and loss within the store(s), and suggests changes to improve the effectiveness of the Company's loss prevention programs and strategies. This is not a covert/undercover position; the APC wears a CVS uniform to be immediately identifiable as a CVS colleague. Essential Functions: • Provides attentive, friendly customer service. Greets all customers, provides answers to general customer questions, and assists with opening and securing locked shelves and showcases per customer requests. • Moves throughout the store to monitor assigned store(s) for activity that causes the loss of CVS Pharmacy assets/products. Communicates with Store Management about observations and asks Store Management for guidance/assistance if theft is suspected. Does not apprehend suspected shoplifters. • Contributes to the execution of Store Shrink Action Plan through execution and follow-up of internal, external, and operations components of the plan. • Inspects high-risk categories and assets/products regularly to detect and deter theft activity. • Ensures use of approved asset/product protection equipment and the security labeling program. • Conducts colleague and vendor bag checks per company guidelines. • Prepares reports as requested by management, including reports of theft incidents, as well as other significant events and activities related to loss prevention. Document the completion of projects, tasks and incidents through daily and/or weekly reports, as requested by management.
