* Review and analyze store shrink performance; identify associate behaviors and/or operational issues through exception based reporting and CCTV that may cause shrink; identify trends; make recommendations for improvement; teach, train and coach associates to effectively handle opportunities; monitor corrective action.

* The Regional Asset Protection Manager will be considered an expert in controlling the following risk related exposures and their costs: Worker Compensation, Claim Prevention, Team Member Worker Compensation, Return To Work programs, Casualty/ General Liability Claim Prevention, Property Claim, Prevention, Inventory Shrinkage (causes and solutions), Cash Variance Loss (policies and procedures), Bad Check Loss (tendered and collected), Security Services Management, Life Safety Environmental Issues, and Team Member Integrity.
* The ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the company is critical to success of this role.
* Formal and informal presentations to small and large groups are expected.
* All communications will establish and convey an expectation of Best Practices within all areas of responsibility.
* This position will provide input for all risk related Standard Operating Procedures (Sops), as may be required.
* The ability to motivate and train Advance Auto Parts Team Members is an absolute and essential function of this position.

* Complete thorough Audits of Store Operations which includes verifying timeliness and accuracy of all bank deposits; insuring that all refunds are completed in accordance with company policy, and are legitimate; and verifying that all Team Members are adhering to all corporate policies and procedures.
* Conduct a thorough examination of designated administrative paperwork that has been generated by the store staff during the normal course of business, as part of the audit process.
* This examination will include, but may not be limited to information contained on the Audit Report, Profit and Loss Statements, Shrinkage reports, accident trend reports, and all exception reports as generated by the Corporate Office.
* Complete preliminary investigations as necessary, and in designated instances, conducts a complete investigation.
* This function will depend on individual capabilities as determined by the Director, Asset Protection.
* In these situations, it is the responsibility of the Asset Protection Manager to maintain communication with the Director, Asset Protection prior to, during, and upon completion of all cases assigned.
* In addition, coordination with the local law enforcement authorities, to include all facets of the criminal justice system, may be necessary.
* Conduct interviews of company store personnel during the course of an audit and/or investigation, to insure that company policies are not only known, but are being followed.
* All plans for correction and follow-up are coordinated and communicated through the District Manager, Regional Vice President and the Director, Asset Protection.
* Identifies causes of shrinkage in stores and coordinates corrective measures and recommendations with the Store Manager, Division Manager, Regional Vice President and the Director, Asset Protection for appropriate action and follow-up.
* Complete and forwards to the appropriate designated management personnel, copies of all completed audits, and/or investigations.
