Overview: Quinnipiac University Athletics seeks applications for a part-time assistant coach for the Men's Baseball team to assist in program management including coaching, administration, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate Men's Baseball program. This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible, stipend position.

Responsibilities:

+ Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests

+ Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned), team travel arrangements (meals & practice times on road trips) and team promotion

+ Assist in the future development of Men's Baseball alumni and community relations

+ Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning

+ Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, ECAC Conference and Big East Conference rules and regulations

+ Must be able to throw Batting Practice

+ Other duties, as assigned

Education Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree required

+ Master's degree preferred

Qualifications:

+ 2-3 years of experience

+ Baseball skills

+ Effective oral and written communication

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office

+ Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice

+ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

+ Ability to work nights and weekends

+ Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion

Menlo School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school for students in grades six through twelve. Menlo School is seeking an exceptional assistant baseball coach. The successful candidate will have competitive baseball coaching experience either at the high school, college and/or elite club level, the ability to teach baseball fundamentals, work closely with the head coach, and improve the skills of baseball players of varying abilities.

This is currently an hourly, part-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Assist with the organization and administration of the baseball team.

+ Teach skills, rules and strategy in effective training sessions.

+ Stay current on all Athletics rules and policies within the PAL and CCS.

+ Reinforce guidelines and team rules.

+ Model the importance of sportsmanship and foster a team-player attitude.

+ Provide a safe environment for student-athletes (physically and mentally).

+ Work collaboratively and effectively with the Head Coach, Athletic Trainers, Sports Performance Coaches, Equipment Manager, other coaches, Facilities personnel and others in the Department.

+ Ability to work with parents, faculty, staff and students in a constructive manner - even under stressful conditions.

+ Ability to both represent as well as teach Menlo Athletics' Mission and Values (attached) as an integral part of the educational experience.

+ Ability to bring fun and joy to practice and competitions.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least three years prior baseball playing and/or coaching experience at the high school, college and/or elite club level.

+ Experience that includes knowledge of National Federation High School (NFHS) rules and regulations of the sport and a knowledge of adolescent psychology as it relates to sports participation is preferred.

+ Possession of valid, unexpired CPR, and First Aid certifications.

+ NFHS coach certification.
