The Role
We're looking for a Golf Coach who is passionate about helping others improve their game while delivering an exceptional experience. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Performance and plays a key role in developing lasting relationships with our members and guests.
As a Five Iron Coach, you'll balance high-quality instruction with engagement time, working closely with our Social and Performance Teams to introduce golfers to lessons, fittings, and memberships. As you grow your client base and achieve performance goals, you'll transition into a full-time instruction role, supported by our Coach Development Program.

* Deliver best-in-class golf instruction through individual and group lessons for players of all skill levels.
* Utilize TrackMan and other Five Iron technologies to provide data-driven, personalized coaching and custom club fittings in partnership with Callaway Tour Fitting.
* Actively engage guests during Golf Experience Engagement Time - promoting lessons, swing evaluations, fittings, and memberships.
* Build and retain a loyal client base by creating welcoming, memorable, and performance-driven experiences.
* Represent Five Iron Golf at corporate events, delivering fun, high-energy instructional sessions.
* Maintain a consistent lesson schedule that meets productivity goals and performance expectations.
* Leverage social media to promote your coaching services and the Five Iron brand.
* Conduct junior clinics and support community outreach programs to grow the game.
* Follow up with students to convert swing evaluations into ongoing lessons and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Serve as an on-floor Performance Expert, engaging with members to elevate their overall golf experience.
* Participate in ongoing education and certification programs to continually sharpen your coaching skills.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of golf industry experience or graduation from a PGM program.
* Proven one-on-one and group coaching experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and launch monitor data.
* Proficient with video analysis and comfortable with golf technology tools.
* Excellent communication skills - able to connect with golfers of all skill levels and explain complex concepts clearly.
* Energetic and engaging personality with the ability to facilitate fun, group-based learning experiences.
* Driven to learn, grow, and help students achieve measurable improvement.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* PGA or LPGA affiliation and/or PGM program graduation are strong pluses.
* Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.

Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach recruits, retains, supervises, and coaches NCAA Division I student-athletes, under the guidelines of Georgetown, the BIG EAST Conference and NCAA. With general policy guidance from the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will make decisions to successfully achieve department goals and objectives, and be accountable for the development of team policies and goals. The Assistant Coach will actively participate in practices and competitions, including, but not limited to, game preparation (including developing strategies and game plans), practice planning, skill and video sessions (including working individually with, advising, and critiquing student-athletes to develop and improve their skills), scouting opposing teams and players (including analyzing their strengths and weaknesses), scheduling, weight training and fitness programs. The Assistant Coach will evaluate prospective student-athletes, analyze and determine their abilities and whether they may succeed athletically and academically at Georgetown. Will recommend or determine which prospective student-athletes the team should focus its time and resources to recruit, and contact and recruit such prospects. Assistant baseball coach job in Washington, DC
The head baseball coach will lead the team's practices and games. They will help organize the schedule for the team. They will be present for the team when needed, and hold athletes accountable throughout the school year.
This is a temporary, part-time job with an anticipated 7 hours of work per week. This assignment is anticipated to run from August 2025 to May 2025, but may vary depending on season outcomes.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $1,000.00
Responsibilities
Coaching, Instruction- provide practice and game day planning, implementation, and assessment.
Training- Help train the team physically, and allow them to meet team needs.
Recruitment- Assist in recruiting prospective members to join the team, and retain them.
Compliance- Ensure compliance with regulations from the university and the NCBA (governing board.)
Fundraising and Budgeting- Give ideas for the team to raise money through fundraising efforts and assist with budgeting.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Coaching baseball, preferably at high school or collegiate level.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS HEAD COACH:
- To assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student athletes. - To assist the athletic director and principal in the hiring and/or retention of assistant coaches.
- To direct, supervise, and evaluate regularly the performance of all assistant coaches of the respective sport.
- To work cooperatively with the athletic director to assure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
- To work cooperatively with other head athletic coaches in order to operate a well-balanced athletic program.
- To foster among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of athletics, a desire to win, an attitude of good sportsmanship, and a sense of pride in self, team, school, and community.
- To direct the training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity athletic team and to lead, supervise, and assist the assistant coaches in their efforts with teams assigned to them.
- To act as a positive influence upon the behavior of members of his/her athletic staff and teams.
- To be present and personally direct the team at all varsity contests and to be present at as many junior varsity and freshmen contests as possible. He/she will also be responsible for the supervision of his/her athletes at invitational meets or post-season competition.
- To advise the athletic director as to the preparation of schedules for his/her respective sport.
- To advise the athletic director in the selection and performance evaluations of officials.
- To recommend to the athletic director the type and amount of equipment and supplies needed to conduct the sports program. To provide for the inventory and care of equipment.
- To advise the athletic director of the condition of athletic facilities and needs for their preparation and maintenance.
- To assist the athletic director to ensure that lists of all players eligible for athletic contests are prepared and maintained under rules of the VHSL.
- To recommend to the athletic director and/or principal the removal of athletes from the team(s) when training or eligibility regulations have not been met.
- To ensure that all athletes have undergone and passed medical examinations before the regular practice season begins.
- To organize a system for encouraging students to try out for his/her team and to develop and recruit equipment manager(s), score keepers, statisticians, ball runners, etc. for all teams.
- To collect and keep on file records, statistics, news items, and photographs for the athletic teams under his/her supervision.
- To recommend to the athletic director those students who qualify for a varsity letter or junior varsity/freshman certificate.
- To recommend to the athletic director, upon request, prospective coaches.
- To observe sub varsity practices and games.
- To perform other duties related to the position of head athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSISTANT COACH:
- To work cooperatively with the head athletic coach in order to operate a well-structured program.
- To work cooperatively with the athletic department.
- To attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
- To carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
- To recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of a sports program.
- To recommend suggested disciplinary actions regarding players violating training rules and procedures.
- To foster among the athletes a desire to win, an attitude of good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
- To perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport which you are applying for on high school or college levels.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course.
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.

The ideal candidate will have previous experiences coaching an NCAA Women's Lacrosse Program. This position will report to the Director of Athletics.
