The Director of Preconstruction role combines client-facing business development, estimating leadership, and project strategy, with a particular focus on mission-critical and industrial project types. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Directs part-time all aspects of the Before/After School Program at a school site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primary - Program:
1.Plan and coordinate daily activities, including CATCH, STEM and Reading programs.
2. Maintain a safe, nurturing environment, ensuring a high level of program quality.
3. Ensure all program areas and equipment are kept clean and safe.
4. Encourage respect for personal property, program equipment and school facilities.
5. Monitor sign in/sign out procedures for accuracy; maintain daily attendance records.
6. Enforce appropriate safety regulations/emergency procedures.
7. Comply/enforce all Tennessee Department of Human Services licensing requirements.
8. Attend all required staff trainings and weekly site director meetings.

Children/Parents/School Administration:
1. Establish positive relationships with all program participants and their families and with school administration.

3. Observe children's behavior, assess its appropriateness and apply appropriate behavior management techniques when needed.
Supervisory:

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 21 years of age and pass pre-employment background checks/drug screening.
2. Four years of college with 2 years of experience administering a child care/educational program, which includes staff supervisory experience OR
3. Two years of college with 30 hours in business or management, child or youth development, or related
field and 2 years experience administering a child care/educational program, which includes staff
supervisory experience OR
4. High school diploma with 4 years experience administering a child care/educational program and 30 hours of TECTA administrator or Child Development Associate (CDA); staff supervisory experience.
5. Current CPR/AED, First Aid and Child Abuse Training or obtain with 30 days of hire date.

* Implement, facilitate, and coordinate daily schedules, activities, and logistics developed in advance by the Center for Education Support and the MGS Program Coordinator.
* Coordinate on-the-ground movement and supervision of scholars to ensure safe and efficient transitions between academic, residential, recreational, and off-campus program locations.
* Supervise scholars, Head Residents, Resident Assistants, and student staff during all non-instructional components of the program.
