    Circle.So

    Remote assistant film editor job

Job DescriptionAbout Us Circle is building the world's leading all-in-one platform for online communities. We make it possible for creators, coaches, educators, and businesses to bring together their audience with engaging discussions, live streams, events, chat, courses, and payments - all in one place, all under their own brand. We're proud to be a fully remote company of around 200 (and growing!) team members from 30+ countries around the world. We seek exceptional individuals around the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and in turn, create a meaningful impact in their own lives. We don't track hours, but we do manage for high expectations very closely. We collaborate across time zones, are highly async, and like to document a lot. Twice a year, we bring the whole company together in beautiful places around the world for our company offsites. So far, we've hosted offsites in Turkey, Portugal, Mexico, Thailand, Colombia, Italy, Ireland, and more, with still more to come! Check out our Careers page for more about working at Circle. About the role We're hiring a Video Editor to join Circle's Design Studio. You'll own the editorial backbone of our video production pipeline, turning raw footage into finished stories that build trust with professional audiences. This role is focused and high taste. Our video producers handle pre-production, scripting, and recording. Our animator handles motion graphics and UI sequences. You own the edit: finding the story in messy raw material, shaping the narrative, setting pacing, and delivering a locked cut ready for animation. After animation is complete, the project comes back to you for color, audio, and final delivery. We work in two lanes: Brand videos are high polish projects like product launches, customer stories, and keynotes. Growth videos move faster: YouTube content, educational tutorials, paid ads, and social campaigns. Your job is to recognize which lane you're in and calibrate accordingly, without losing the standard. We're not trying to look "pretty." We're trying to look inevitable. Clear. Premium. Like a company you'd trust with serious money and serious attention. Types of projects Customer stories: 60 to 90 second testimonials showing transformation and outcomes Product launches: 3 to 5 minute feature announcements, deep dives, and releases YouTube content: educational videos, thought leadership, and tutorials Paid ads: performance-optimized creative for Meta, YouTube, and LinkedIn Keynote presentations: high-stakes founder presentations and virtual productions Brand videos: premium positioning pieces that elevate our market presence What you'll be doing Shape narratives from raw footage (interviews, host segments, product demos, screen recordings) Build structure, pacing, and emotional rhythm, not just "tight edits" Deliver locked cuts with final timing and structure before animation begins Coordinate handoffs with our animator to ensure smooth integration Color grade in DaVinci Resolve to maintain a consistent, premium look across projects Mix audio for platform-ready delivery (clean dialogue, balanced music, controlled dynamics) Manage project files with clear naming, version control, and clean handoffs Finalize videos after animation and deliver exports across all channels Create social media cutdowns from bigger projects (short clips, vertical versions, alternate hooks) to keep the marketing calendar full when we have momentum What you'll need to be successful Strong alignment with our values, find our values on our career page if you haven't read up on them yet. Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5 3 to 6 years of professional editing experience, ideally for software or technology companies serving professional audiences. Strong narrative instincts. You can pull a clean arc out of a long interview. You know what to cut, what to keep, and when to let a moment breathe. Your portfolio should show work where the edit is doing real work, not just assembling pre-planned shots. Taste and restraint. You know when effects help and when they cheapen. You can make something feel expensive with fewer moves, not more. A "high trust" operator. Circle gives you real autonomy. You get to make decisions, own your projects, and do your best work with the freedom to explore creative solutions. You care deeply about the brand's integrity, you take feedback well, you're excited to figure things out, and you ship work you're genuinely proud of. Initiative. When a product launch or keynote drops, you see the angles. You pull the best moments, propose cutdowns, and make hay while the sun shines. You don't wait to be asked to create the obvious follow-ups or social media cutdowns. Technical range Advanced Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve editing Solid DaVinci Resolve for color grading Working knowledge of After Effects for basic compositing and cleanup (not motion design) Comfortable using Figma for storyboarding Comfortable using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Nano Banana to speed up workflows Comfortable with Notion, Frame.io, Dropbox, and Descript Experience with modern caption styles and clean text animation A reliable setup. High speed internet (50+ Mbps upload), professional audio monitoring, and a color-accurate display. Strong process habits. You keep timelines organized, label and version cleanly, protect the project as it evolves, and flag problems early. Our Visual Style We're evolving toward a minimal, professional aesthetic. Intentional pacing that gives viewers space to absorb information. Captions placed with purpose, protecting eye line and keeping attention on the subject. Soft, seamless transitions. Subtle glows and gradients when they earn their place. Professional, consistent color across every project. We make videos for professionals making serious decisions. Clarity and credibility matter more than flash or spice. How to succeed in this role Story first, always. When you receive a 45 minute interview, start with the transcript. Find the three to five moments that matter. Know your arc before you touch the timeline. Communicate as you go. Share rough thinking early. Ask questions when the brief is unclear. Keep collaborators in the loop. The best work happens when there are fewer surprises. Be organized. Between customer stories, product launches, and ad campaigns, we generate a lot of footage and assets. Your job is to keep the system clean: bins, versions, naming, exports, and syncing across cloud drives. If someone needs to pick up your project, they should be able to find everything fast. Live and breathe Circle's brand. You will be editing dozens of videos across every part of our business. Over time, you should internalize our visual language: how we pace, how we use color, how we position text, what kind of music we choose. Watch our published work. Study it. Ask questions about why we made certain choices. The best editors on our team become extensions of the brand itself, making instinctive decisions that feel unmistakably Circle. Who you will work with You'll work closely with our Video Producers, who provide footage and creative direction. You'll hand off locked cuts to our Animator and collaborate on integration. You'll receive feedback from Marketing, the Design Studio, and Circle founders during reviews. You report to the Head of Design Studio. $85,000 - $105,000 USD per year The cash compensation range shown is a starting point. In addition to equity, benefits and perks, your cash compensation is subject to an annual review and increase on a once per year basis. The fun stuff Fully remote: work from anywhere in the world! Autonomy and trust to do your job: we care about outcomes over everything else. Paid time away: all employees are given 35 days of PTO annually. We also offer a paid sabbatical after 5 years. Generous U.S. benchmarked compensation and startup equity no matter where you are in the world.* Awesome medical coverage with 100% coverage for you and your family, or medical reimbursement options where applicable!* Parental leave for parents expanding their family, or just starting one. Home office stipend to help you get up and running. Learning & development stipend to help you level up your professional skills. Annual bonus potential for roles that don't already receive variable income or commission. Company retreats: Twice a year, the Circle team gets together for a fully paid company retreat in incredible places around the world! We've had past retreats in Colombia, Portugal, and Mexico, with more planned on the horizon. Check out our Careers page for more. * Your role, location and unique circumstance may affect this. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion As a fully-remote international company, diversity is baked into our DNA. Here's how our CEO, Sid Yadav, frames our hiring mission: "let's find talent in underserved and under-represented corners of the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and in turn, change their life." To achieve this hiring mission, we offer competitive U.S. benchmarked compensation no matter where someone's located in the world, and we proactively seek candidates who expand representation of backgrounds, cultures and lived experiences in our teams. Grns

    Remote assistant film editor job

We're so happy you're here! Thank you for checking our job out and we hope to have the chance to meet you in our interview process! About the role We're looking for a Performance Video Editor who can transform raw footage into high-impact, conversion-driving ads across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is ideal for an editor who understands the art of storytelling and the science of performance-someone who can balance fast-paced experimentation with strong creative craft. You'll work closely with Growth and Creative Strategy teams to bring new ideas to life, introduce fresh editing styles, and help elevate the standard for all performance videos. This is a highly collaborative, high-velocity role where your work directly fuels growth and creative testing across the business. This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high trust work environment and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off sites where we can connect IRL. In this role, you will: Edit engaging, platform-native video ads for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube using existing content libraries, UGC, product footage, and motion assets. Develop new pacing styles, hooks, and storytelling structures to introduce creative diversity into our testing roadmap. Execute motion graphics elements including captions, kinetic type, transitions, light animation, and visual enhancements. Produce channel-specific variations with a strong emphasis on scaling YouTube, an underutilized but high-opportunity platform. Iterate quickly based on performance insights, creative direction, and experimentation goals. Maintain an efficient workflow, delivering fast-turnaround edits without compromising craftsmanship. Potential to mentor VA/Jr. teammates and share best practices around motion and performance editing. We're looking for someone who: Has 2-4 years of experience editing performance, social-first, or short-form video content for DTC brands, agencies, or high-growth companies. Understands performance metrics and knows how to edit for thumbstop, retention, CTR, VTR, and conversion. Can look at a library of assets and independently build compelling videos without needing a detailed brief. Is equally strong in pacing, rhythmic editing, story structure, and visual polish. Has motion graphics experience (After Effects or equivalent) and can elevate footage with captions, animation, or graphics when needed. Works extremely fast and thrives in a rapid test-and-learn environment with shifting priorities. Is excited to push creative boundaries while still staying true to the brand's identity across every channel. Approach to the role: You think performance-first: every cut, transition, hook, and CTA is intentional and tied to user behavior. You are flexible and resourceful - able to turn limited footage into high-quality ads through thoughtful storytelling. You seek out new creative trends, editing formats, and platform behaviors to inspire stronger testing concepts. You value speed and craft, knowing when to move quickly and when to push the quality further. You collaborate seamlessly with designers, editors, and growth partners, lifting the overall creative bar. You thrive in a high-volume environment and get energy from producing frequent, experimental variations. You care about impact - your work directly drives testing velocity, creative diversity, and channel growth. To Apply: Please enter your info and share a bit about yourself with us below. We ask that you do not use Chat GPT or similar tools to answer these questions, as it is our hope to genuinely get to know you and the way you communicate and think! We do love integrating these tools into our work though, and you'll hear plenty more about that if you join us. At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package-grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is between $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience. Beyond base salary, we offer competitive equity packages and a comprehensive set of benefits designed to support the well-being, growth, and balance of our team. A bit about us... At Grüns, we believe that foundational nutrition should be simple and convenient for everyone. We're dedicated to bringing comprehensive and real nutrition to you through our gummies, formulated from 60 nutrient-dense and whole-food ingredients. Simply enjoy a grab-and-go snack pack of gummies daily whenever fits best in your schedule and wherever life takes you. Like you, we were disappointed. There's an infinite number of “nutrition” companies, all focused on what's best for them - not what's best for you. Hundreds of products to sell you on, low-quality ingredients, and small nutrient doses. We've seen it all. So we decided it was time to fix it. No more choking on and popping pills like a pharmacy. No more clean-up and disgust from gross powders. And no more cobbling together handfuls to dozens of supplements. Grüns is comprehensive nutrition, made convenient and delicious. What we care about... Autonomy: Only the best work at Grüns. We're all confident, independent leaders. We are proactive. We find opportunities for improvement. Don't ask; just do. When our actions impact other areas of the organization, we communicate with those functional leaders to ensure connectivity. Growth: We love to take on new challenges, learn new things, and express interest in new functions. “I've never done this before” is not an excuse; it's an opportunity. Community: We care deeply about each other. We're good humans and provide support wherever we can. We care, not just professionally but personally as well. Compensation & Perks: For every role, we aim to have highly competitive compensation and opportunity for impact and career growth. Everyone at Grüns works hard, but we believe in wellness and balance too. We have super strong benefits coverage -- for you and your family, generous PTO, free Grüns subscriptions, and a few more perks centered around health and well-being that we can't wait to tell you about!

  • Short Form Video Editor

    Dream Three

    Remote assistant film editor job

Dream Three is a production company founded by an award-winning filmmaker and a Broadway actor. We create high-impact, mainstream stories that awaken consciousness and drive cultural change. Our projects span mediums and genres to include scripted and unscripted, podcasts and music, theater and live events, publishing, and immersive experiences. We are an elite team: focused, high-trust, and relentlessly committed to mastery - not a 9-to-5 comfort zone. If you thrive in environments with radical candor, clear ownership, and big creative swings, you'll feel at home here. ROLE OVERVIEW We're looking for a Short Form Video Editor who lives and breathes vertical video to cut high-retention clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You'll turn long-form footage (interviews, BTS, podcasts) into tight, thumb-stopping edits that hook in the first 1-3 seconds, keep viewers watching, and drive follows. If you're obsessed with hooks, pacing, and platform-based storytelling-and you can move quickly without losing taste-you'll thrive here. What Success Looks Like In This Role: You consistently deliver 3-5+ strong clips per week (0:15-2:00) from provided footage, on brief and on time. Your edits show clear hooks and high retention relative to baseline for each channel. Projects are tidy and easy to pick up-clean timelines, labeled exports, and organized media. WHO YOU ARE You move fast but care a lot about taste and details. You're comfortable getting direct creative feedback and iterating quickly. You love studying what works on TikTok/Reels/Shorts and can explain why a clip hits. You're proactive: if a hook isn't working, you suggest alternatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Edit 3-5+ short form clips per week from long form footage, with quick turnarounds (sometimes same day). Craft strong cold opens, trims, and pacing tailored to TikTok/Reels/Shorts. Add accurate, on-brand captions and punch up with motion graphics, callouts, emojis, and SFX when appropriate. Mix and sweeten audio (dialogue cleanup, music/SFX balance) and do basic color correction/matching. Version content for 9:16 / 1:1 / 16:9 and export platform-ready files with correct codecs and loudness. Package assets: clean project files, labeled exports, thumbnail pulls, and simple metadata (working title/tags). Keep projects organized in Dropbox/Drive per our file naming and folder conventions. Collaborate with producers/social strategists, take thorough notes, and turn revisions around promptly. Join regular Zoom/Slack check-ins for feedback and planning. ROLE REQUIREMENTS 2+ years editing short-form content for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or equivalent experience demonstrated in portfolio. Proven hook-first storytelling for vertical video: you can articulate why something will stop a scroll. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro as your primary NLE. Solid audio fundamentals: Denoise, EQ, compression, loudness targets for spoken word vertical content. Comfort designing and styling subtitles for vertical formats. Familiarity with current platform norms and trends (cuts, pacing, memes, sounds, transitions) without chasing every gimmick. Strong communication, time management, and reliability in a remote environment. Portfolio/reel of vertical edits (please include links; TikTok/Reels/Shorts links are ideal). TOOLS YOU'LL USE Editing & Motion: Adobe Premiere Pro Review & Delivery: Frame.io, Dropbox Collaboration & Workflow: Slack, Zoom, Asana We'll provide our brand kit, fonts, LUTs, and delivery specs, and we'll collaborate with you to evolve best practices over time. PLUSES Experience cutting comedy, creator-led, or podcast-driven content. Basic thumbnail design skills (Photoshop/Illustrator/Canva). Familiarity with YouTube metadata and SEO for Shorts. Prior collaboration with a social strategist or growth lead. Proficiency in CapCut, Instagram Edits, or similar mobile tools-but not used as your primary editing tool. Adobe After Effects for motion graphics. ADDITIONAL DETAILS Availability: Approximately 10-20 hours/week once ramped, with flexibility to scale up/down around releases. Location: Fully remote (must have reliable internet and a capable editing setup). Start Date: ASAP. Type: Freelance 1099 Contractor Reports to: Social Media Manager and Podcast Coordinator Senior Editors: On occasion, we hire senior-level editors at higher rates. If you feel this describes you, please note it in your application. If this role feels like a stretch in all the right ways, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us how your skills, experience, and unique point of view can level up this team and the stories we're bringing into the world. Dream Three is an equal opportunity employer. We value a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and perspectives, and strongly encourage candidates from historically underrepresented communities to apply.

  • Social-First Video Editor (Remote)

    Rugiet Health

    Remote assistant film editor job

About Rugiet Rugiet is a high-growth, innovative telemedicine company pioneering patented solutions in the men's health space. We are dedicated to delivering accessible, effective, and patient-centric healthcare. As we continue to expand our suite of products and market presence, we rely on data-driven strategy and compelling messaging to connect patients with our life-changing solutions. Role Summary We need a Social-First Video Editor to slice and dice video content and social ads. You live to feed the feed, devouring trends as fast as they appear, and throwing some of your own in the mix while you're at it. Whether it's internally produced, coming from a partner, or your own creation, if you've touched the footage, you've left it better than you found it. Tangibles You break thumbs. You could turn footage of grass growing into a top performing ad. You use social video trends as a tool and create your own as needed. You are really good at editing video in a way that keeps people hooked from the first frame to the last. You know good when you see it. You don't always need a bullet-proof editing brief to pull together a great cut. You go hunting for the better performance and know it when you see it. You take the assignment as a starting place and then add your POV to make it better than it was asked to be. Your videos work. You've been editing in the space long enough to have a good intuition for what makes a video perform as an ad. You're curious about how your video ads could be made to perform better, and you're constantly experimenting to find new ways to capture and keep attention. Intangibles Everyone in the creative department is held to the following standards: We make the best work of our careers. We hold ourselves to the highest standards as we make creative work, because if we're not proud of what we're making, why should anyone else pay attention to it. We believe in the power of creativity. We know that creativity creates outcomes, and so we constantly look for the thing that hasn't been done before, and never settle for the expected. We crave feedback. We know that everything we do can always be improved. We seek out feedback from voices we respect, and give it when asked, thoughtfully and constructively. We have an opinion. We are not just hands on keyboards, everyone, regardless of seniority or role, is expected to have ideas and a strong point of view that they work hard to develop. We turn constraints into unfair advantages. We know there is never enough time or money to do things the easy way, and so we take constraints and make the most of them, always looking for the most creative solution to the limitless challenges that litter our path. Requirements 3-5 years of experience as a social video editor. A portfolio of social video that shows the latest trends cut in ways we can't look away from. AI is a part of your workflow. You see it as a powerful tool and you love finding new ways to use it to make your work more captivating and easier to produce. Show us something cool you've made, and then explain how you made it. To Apply If you are excited by the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing healthcare company by organizing and optimizing our creative output, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are a great fit for this role.
