- Provide hair style consultation and perform cut, style, condition, chemical and other styling services for all hair types
- Maintain up to date knowledge of hairstyle trends and products
- Create an image suitable for guests' needs/event according to the physical features of the client, current styles and/or from the client instructions
- Communicate and describe salon offerings, including pricing, and their benefits
- Recommend and up-sell services and products that fit the guests' needs
- Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team members
- Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests' needs in a professional manner
- Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and ready for each client prior to their arrival, and for proper sanitation and restocking after each use according to departmental policy
- Maintain clean, organized work area with adequate supplies and attractively displayed retail products
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Prior customer service experience. Prior hair stylist experience. Must hold license from New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail oriented
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
