St. Clair Country Club is located 10 miles from Pittsburgh, in the south hills area of Western Pennsylvania. Located on 265 acres of property, St. Clair Country Club's facilities include an 18-hole Championship Golf Course and a 9-hole Terrace Golf Course. In addition to its golf courses, St. Clair Country Club has a short game practice facility and a driving range. Job Overview

The Assistant Mechanic/Equipment Technician will work closely with the Equipment Manger to perform required maintenance and repairs to equipment used to maintain the Championship golf course, Terrace golf course, practice facilities and grounds of St. Clair Country Club. This position offers a great opportunity to train, learn and further develop necessary skills to become a Golf Course Equipment Manager. We are willing to provide training. Mechanics experience is required.

This position does participate in morning golf course mowing and preparation, it is a nice combination of shop work and on golf course work.

The Grounds Crew participates in daily preparation and maintenance of the 18-hole Championship course and the 9-hole Terrace course, as well as the grounds of St. Clair Country Club. Candidates must be willing to commit the necessary time required to maintain the golf courses to the standards of the membership.

The Assistant Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of turf and landscape equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities

+ Follow daily work plan to provide the equipment needed each day

+ Communicate any equipment needs or repairs to equipment manager.

+ Utilize proper tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment as needed to perform work

+ Prepare equipment by inspection, adjusting, lubricating, and testing operation

+ Service and repair equipment according to manufactures service schedule and technical manuals

+ Maintain accurate records of all service and repairs

+ Ensure that defective equipment and tools are removed from service and properly tagged as out of service

+ Report any safety concerns immediately to supervisors

+ Adhere to the proper recycling and/or disposal of all lubricants and chemicals.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly service area and maintenance building.

+ Provide assistance to maintenance staff as needed

**I. Job Summary**

Works under direct supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment.
