Job Summary

Assists the histology technicians and/or Pathologists in routine staining, grossing, FNA, slide labeling, filing slides and blocks, picking up specimens from various departments, and assists with Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Routine maintenance on equipment (changing reagents, recording temperatures, etc.)
Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
B. Experience:
Minimum one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
None.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes various laboratory instruments and equipment according to
manufacturer's instructions and departmental policy and procedure. Utilizes
standard office equipment. Required moderate knowledge of medical
terminology.
