The assistant is responsible for partnering with the Visual Merchandising Manager in coaching and developing the in store visual teams, while achieving strategic company objectives and visual merchandising consistency.
A day in the life...

+ K nowledgeable in all visual merchandising strategies , and current trends to help sell product in the store and support compan y sales goals

+ Ensure proper understanding of visual merchandising directives, pertaining to all departments in terms of the customer, fashion-relevant styling and be knowledgeable in current trends, to help sell product that is in store today

+ Assist in providing support to merchandising, signing, and implementing visual merchandising direction at the highest level, with the ability to customize as appropriate to your store

+ Ensure the successful execution of the in-store lighting program through proper installation, removal and adjustment of lighting, including promotional, general store and visual enhancement lighting

+ Ensure all visual safety programs and protocols are followed, including shop and visual space organization

+ Be clear and concise in communication while coaching Visual Merchandising employees for better performance, and share feedback wi th Visual Merchandising Manager

The Assistant Merchandise Manager will assist the Merchandise Manager in developing and leading a high performing team, responsible for receiving, stocking, and merchandising Buc-ee's unique gift items. The Assistant Merchandise Manager provides exemplary customer satisfaction by maintaining a clean, friendly, and in stock experience for every customer.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

+ Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Merchandise Manager in their absence or upon their discretion

+ Administer ongoing training to Merchandise staff in order for the team to practice the principles of:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of experience and education in lieu of degree

+ Minimum of 3 years of relevant and extensive retail management experience preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Regularly monitors website to ensure that products are active on the site and appropriately merchandised.
• Successfully elevates key stories and displays products and categories to create an engaging, relevant, and personal experience for customers
• Evaluates placement and productivity based on analytics to maximize sales.
• Ensures on-time implementation of merchandising calendar, attends sales alignment meetings and coordinates correct execution across different categories
• Develops key product/merchandising stories and business objectives for the season.
• Identifies selling and promotional opportunities (cross selling/upsell) by collaborating with cross-functional teams helping to create innovative promotional campaigns
• Identifies and implements new creative merchandising activities in cooperation with wholesale merchandising and marketing teams
• Reports KPI results related to assortment and merchandising updates, communicates how the content and product strategy is contributing to business goals.
• Identifies and leverages information (technologies, business insights, inventory positions etc.) that informs, educates, and influences customer buying decisions
• Monitors and addresses null searches and optimizes customer searches
• Provides creative team with linking and guidance for product usage in marketing
• Manages photo shoot samples and ensures all photography is ready to go live when product arrives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• BA/BS Degree
• 2+ years work experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced, self-starter environment
• Strong data analytical skills – must be able to assemble and interpret data, create summaries and deliver business insights.
  
• eCommerce platform knowledge preferred, Shopify knowledge an extra plus
• Ability to collaborate within a team and with cross-functional partners
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Suite
• Position is currently remote with a hybrid office model in the future
