Skills & Abilities to: Learn and demonstrates principles, practices, procedures, methods, materials, tools, terminology, and equipment related to the Registered Nursing program Assist students and faculty in the use and operation of equipment and materials related to the Registered Nursing program Create an engaging and positive learning environment in a laboratory or other learning environments Collect and maintain course grading and evaluation materials Establish and maintain filing, record keeping, and tracking systems Evaluate and determine course grading determinants Meet with and discuss course performance with both faculty and students Determine student performance which aligns with college course evaluation metrics Learn and demonstrate proper use and maintenance of equipment, materials, and supplies used in the Registered Nursing program Interpret, apply, and explain applicable policies, rules, and regulations related to areas of responsibility Organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines Operate modern office equipment including computer equipment and software applications programs Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing Understand scope of authority in making independent decisions Review situations accurately and determine appropriate course of action using judgment according to established policies and procedures Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Demonstrate a professional role model for students Demonstrate integrity and progressive self-improvement Education and Experience: Doctoral Preparation in either Human Anatomy and/or Physiology preferred, Masters Degrees required. A combination of didactic training and Laboratory experience to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: To have successfully completed at least (1) year of practical teaching experience working in a college-level classroom, laboratory, or similar setting would be acceptable.
