ROLE of the POSITION
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction (CEEC) of the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the construction area, commencing Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous and sustainable funded research program in their area of expertise, mentor to graduate undergraduate and graduate students, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their expertise area related to construction engineering and management, and participate in service to the Department, College, University, and profession.
PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT
The CEEC Department has 17 full-time faculty members in 6 technical areas. Three of these faculty members have received the prestigious NSF CAREER award. Current enrollment of the department includes about 600 undergraduate and 80 graduate students. The department has fully equipped professional facilities with computing, electronic, fabricating, testing, printing, and word processing. High speed computing facilities are available at the National Supercomputing Center for Energy and the Environment hosted in the College of Engineering. UNLV GPU Cluster (named RebelX) is also available for A.I. research and education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction engineering management, or other relevant engineering (e.g., computer engineering or science) and a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). If the applicant does not have undergraduate degree in engineering, then PhD in Civil Engineering with Construction emphasis is required. Applicants from all areas of construction will be considered. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas will receive special consideration: automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies in construction. Hawai'i Pacific University (HPU) is a private, non-profit institution and the largest private university with its core campus in the heart of Honolulu's business district. Hawai`i Pacific University, College of Health and Society is seeking candidates who are licensed physical therapists for adjunct faculty positions for its developing hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Las Vegas, NV. These positions will start as early as January 2025 with the expected launch of the DPT program. Individuals with expertise across all areas of physical therapist practice areas will be considered.
This accelerated two-year DPT program is a blend of online and on-campus activities which allows adjunct faculty members to live remote to the HPU Las Vegas site. However, DPT adjunct faculty members must be able to travel and stay in Las Vegas during the duration of the labs assigned. On-site labs are blocked by course and range from 3-6 days in length. Adjunct faculty who support more than one lab may be required to be on-site for up to 2-weeks at a time. Priority will be given to qualified candidates who live in Las Vegas. Competitive compensation is provided for course-based appointments. All travel related expenses will be covered by HPU.

Job Description
Great Basin College seeks a broadly trained Biology instructor to join our small, yet dynamic interdisciplinary Science Department at the Winnemucca Center. Teaching excellence is the primary requirement and instructional responsibilities are primarily lower-division core biology classes required for health sciences and general education programs.
Applicant must have experience teaching anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and introductory biology, including significant teaching experience in both in-person and distance education settings with a diverse mix of students. Experience with Canvas LMS platform and synchronous online delivery is preferred.

Provide dissertation student instruction in assigned dissertation capstone courses.
Guide dissertation students through each dissertation milestone deliverable ensuring compliance to template and rubric criteria.
Be available to meet with students through phone, Zoom, or other sources to assist them in scholarly completion of dissertation milestone documents.
Participate in virtual review sessions with students during summer intensive sessions.

As a Physician Pediatrics, employee shall provide clinical services to patients who are appropriate for the scope of a pediatric physician including but not limited to growth and developmental monitoring, general medicine, and immunizations.
