Johns Hopkins Carey Business School invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in Operations Management and Business Analytics. The appointment will begin in Fall 2023. This position is open at both Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC campuses. We welcome applications from candidates motivated by the unique opportunity to participate in building a world-class business school at a premier private university.
Qualified candidates for a tenure track faculty position must have the following:

+ A PhD degree in Operations Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Decision Sciences, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or a related field conferred by employment start date.

+ Demonstrated a strong commitment to academic research and excellence in teaching.

Teaching responsibilities will include MBA/MS-level courses. Evidence of successful teaching in a graduate business school environment is desirable but not required.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to engage in appropriate professional and scholarly activities, participate in doctoral dissertation work, supervise internships, advise students, and carry out other faculty responsibilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Applicants should have expertise in and be academically qualified to teach courses on the quantitative side of business including: Accounting and financial reporting (MBA), Economics (MBA), Managerial Finance (MBA), technology management, and business analytics (all programs). Preference will be given to those who can teach business analytics. Other non-finance quantitative business courses are also available to teach.

Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate in a related field, PhD prefered. ABD candidates will be considered.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.

Salary and Rank
