The University of Akron invites applications for the faculty position of Robert C. Musson Cybersecurity Endowed Chair. This is a leadership role for a recognized cybersecurity expert who will drive innovation in research, teaching, and industry collaboration while contributing to the growth of the newly formed Institute of Computing, Data and Information Sciences (ICDIS). Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related with a cybersecurity focus, and a strong record of research and publications in cybersecurity.
The Musson Cybersecurity Chair will provide leadership in advancing the ICDIS cybersecurity research initiatives by conducting and publishing independent research, guiding the research strategy by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring graduate students. The Chair will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity and information systems; develop and update curriculum, and training programs; and support student retention. The Chair will engage with industry partners, professional communities, and K-12 outreach to promote student recruitment and contribute to the University's reputation as a leader in cybersecurity education and research. The Chair will also leverage and expand the Musson Industrial Control Systems Test Bed to strengthen workforce development and cybersecurity practices.

Job Overview

The Department of Psychology at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall of 2026. All areas of specialization will be considered, yet special consideration will be given to applicants with the ability to develop community partnerships and/or service learning opportunities involving students. We are primarily a teaching University and are looking for applicants with well-developed teaching skills. Faculty members teach a total of 21-24 credit hours per academic year. The successful applicant will be expected to teach applied courses that engage students in the Greater Cleveland community. This could be through a service learning course, internship course, or applied research course in the field. They would also be expected to teach any of our required courses, including Intro to Psychology, Statistics, SPSS, Research Methods and Thesis, in addition to a lower level topical seminar. They also may be asked to develop new courses in their area of specialization.
The Psychology Department currently has 7 full-time members representing the main sub-disciplines in the field. The Psychology major is one of the largest majors on campus, and the department is housed in the Neal Malicky Center for the Social Sciences, which has dedicated research space for human research. The Department of Engineering Technology at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio is seeking a tenure-track faculty member to support the Plastics Engineering Technology program. Shawnee State University's Plastics Program is the only 4-year degree program in Plastics Engineering Technology in the state of Ohio and is one of four programs nationally accredited by ABET in Plastics Engineering Technology. The program provides a specialized, in-demand education through a combination of theory and hands-on lab application.
The Plastics program at Shawnee has recently renovated labs for plastics processing, materials testing, design, machining, and additive manufacturing. A new Advanced Manufacturing Center will expand the campus's manufacturing presence with additional lab space for automation and robotics. The Assistant Professor of Criminology will provide instruction to undergraduate students at Heidelberg University on a 4/4 full-time teaching load. Responsibilities
The incumbent will teach the standard teaching load (4.5 courses per year) at all levels of undergraduate education in the general area of Data Science, Statistics, and Epidemiology. We are especially seeking candidates with expertise in epidemiology and its intersections with modeling, time-series analysis, or network analysis.
The incumbent will also be expected to engage in sustained scholarly research and/or other creative work appropriate to the position and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising, mentoring undergraduate research and service on committees. The Program and College actively support new faculty with mentoring and professional development opportunities, including a paid pre-tenure leave for those on the standard six-year track, startup support, and internal grants for conference travel and research.
