After forming the BME Alliance with the Cleveland Clinic (currently ranked the #2 hospital in the country) we grew to 55 primary faculty, 28 of which are tenure-track. We are also within walking distance of University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Cleveland Stokes VA Hospital making this one of the riches engineering/clinical hubs in world. We currently have 220 graduate students and approximately 500 undergraduate students. Our faculty are international research leaders in biomaterials, nanomedicine, imaging modalities, neural engineering, and computational imaging and personalized diagnostics. The BME department is home to the endowed Case-Coulter Translational Research Partnership. This resource is a recognized national leader in promoting translational research and supporting collaborative translational research projects to improve patient care and accelerate the delivery of healthcare technology from academia to the marketplace.
