The Department of Psychology at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall of 2026. A PhD degree is required; however, candidates who have not yet had their degree conferred (i.e., ABD) may be considered with an expected completion of the degree within the first year of employment. All areas of specialization will be considered, yet special consideration will be given to applicants with the ability to develop community partnerships and/or service learning opportunities involving students. We are primarily a teaching University and are looking for applicants with well-developed teaching skills. Faculty members teach a total of 21-24 credit hours per academic year. The successful applicant will be expected to teach applied courses that engage students in the Greater Cleveland community. This could be through a service learning course, internship course, or applied research course in the field. They would also be expected to teach any of our required courses, including Intro to Psychology, Statistics, SPSS, Research Methods and Thesis, in addition to a lower level topical seminar. They also may be asked to develop new courses in their area of specialization.
The Psychology Department currently has 7 full-time members representing the main sub-disciplines in the field. The Psychology major is one of the largest majors on campus, and the department is housed in the Neal Malicky Center for the Social Sciences, which has dedicated research space for human research. Faculty members involve undergraduate students in their research program. The successful candidate will engage in an active program of applied research (either on campus or off campus with a healthcare/nonprofit/ community agency partner) where undergraduates will be able to improve their skills and make meaningful contributions.

This initiative brings together faculty expertise across the College of Health Sciences and Professions, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Patton College of Education to advance discovery in brain health, cognition, communication, movement, and learning. Faculty hired into this cohort will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary network dedicated to understanding and enhancing cognitive and functional health across the lifespan, from early development through older adulthood.
The standard workload distribution for this position is 70% Research, 20% Teaching, and 10% Service. Faculty in this line will benefit from Ohio University's robust research infrastructure, including access to the Ohio Musculoskeletal and Neurological Institute (OMNI), a university-wide research institute offering pilot funding, shared core facilities, and collaborative support for interdisciplinary research in brain and body health.

Assistant Professor of Studio Art in 2D Practices: Painting and Drawing
Oberlin, OH
The Studio Art Department at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences in 2D Practices of Painting and Drawing beginning in Fall 2026. The incumbent will teach in person the standard teaching load (4.5 courses per year) in the general areas of painting, drawing, and color theory (with an emphasis on painting). Responsibilities
The incumbent will also be expected to engage in sustained scholarly research and/or other creative work appropriate to the position and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising, mentoring undergraduate research, and service on committees. The Department and the College actively support new faculty with mentoring and professional development opportunities, including a paid pre-tenure leave for those on the standard six-year tenure track, startup support, and internal grants for conference travel and research.

● Envisions the future of image-making and is prepared to lead the painting, drawing, and color theory curriculum. This candidate will lead the department's curriculum in the field of painting, so it is important that this person has a deep understanding of painting's long traditions, while also understanding how the field is expanding in relation to, and reaction to, digital tools and technologies.
● Demonstrates a broad and experimental approach to materials and methodologies, especially when working on a 2D plane, including oil and water-based media, a range of drawing techniques, digital imaging, and mixed-media practices.
● Can develop and teach a range of courses across representational, perceptual, and abstract painting languages and approaches.
● Can participate in the co-taught capstone sequence courses, which are interdisciplinary in scope. Professors co-teach and rotate interdisciplinary courses that guide advanced majors across disciplines, so this candidate must be able to talk about art and ideas beyond their specific field.

Beginning in fall 2026, the Institute will offer multiple sections of CLT 2000: The American Constitutional Tradition. This course will serve as an entry to the Institute's academic programs; it also satisfies a civic education requirement for every undergraduate at the University of Toledo who enrolls during or after fall 2026.
Ideal candidates will be prepared to teach sections of this course, which introduces students to key readings in the history of American political thought, American constitutionalism, early modern philosophy, and great speeches by American statesmen.
Candidates should be familiar with and embrace the Institute's mission as defined by ORC Sec. 3364.07 (B), (C), which is to educate university students in (A) the core texts and great debates of Western civilization; (B) the principles, ideals, and institutions of the American and Ohio political order; and (C) the foundations of responsible leadership and informed citizenship.

The Institute of American Constitutional Thought & Leadership invites applications for multiple tenured faculty positions at the Associate or Full Professor rank, to start in fall 2026.
The Institute is an interdisciplinary and public-spirited center at the University of Toledo dedicated to the principles, institutions, and texts that are foundational for America's constitutional order and for greater Western Civilization. We are an honors-level “school within a school” at UToledo, providing courses, degree programs, and public events that enhance the humanities offerings at the University of Toledo and serve the broader northwest Ohio community.
The Institute's faculty are committed to building an academic community in which civic life and the life of the mind flourish. These scholars and teachers are dedicated to examining timeless questions while addressing timely problems in American civic life. As the heart of the Institute's academic community, they advance the Institute's mission by making meaningful contributions to their academic disciplines, teaching and mentoring students, modeling collegiality, sustaining robust scholarly activity, and serving the University and the broader Ohio community. Faculty will teach up to five courses per academic year. The appointments and tenure for all the Institute's faculty are held within the Institute.
The Institute offers a minor in Constitutional Studies; a minor in Science, Technology, and Society (STS); and is developing a Constitutional Studies Major.
Beginning in fall 2026, the Institute will offer multiple sections of CLT 2000: The American Constitutional Tradition. This course will serve as an entry to the Institute's academic programs; it also satisfies a civic education requirement for every undergraduate at the University of Toledo who enrolls during or after fall 2026.
Ideal candidates will be prepared to teach sections of this course, which introduces students to key readings in the history of American political thought, American constitutionalism, early modern philosophy, and great speeches by American statesmen.
Candidates should be familiar with and embrace the Institute's mission as defined by ORC Sec. 3364.07 (B), (C), which is to educate university students in (A) the core texts and great debates of Western civilization; (B) the principles, ideals, and institutions of the American and Ohio political order; and (C) the foundations of responsible leadership and informed citizenship.
This is a full-time position. Salaries are highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
All faculty report directly to the Institute's Director. Others who may provide work, guidance, and direction include the Senior Associate Director.
