Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks a dynamic WOMEN’S HEALTH nurse educator within the School of Nursing and Health Professions (NHP) for the Fall 2020 semester. The University offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, RN-BSN and RN-MSN).

The successful candidate(s) is required to have at least a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Preference given to those with experience using instructional strategies for traditional, online instruction (hybrid etc.), simulation (high fidelity and virtual, etc.) and with CNE Certification (Nursing Educator). A minimum of two years of teaching experience (didactic and clinical practice) with students in a college/university nursing program and evidence of continuous professional development are encouraged to apply.

The candidate will hold a current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the District of Columbia or eligibility to obtain a District of Columbia Registered Nurse license by July 1, 2020.

Major responsibilities:

  • Teach 3-4 courses or 12 credits per semester (Full time 12-month contract)
  1. Advise and mentor students enrolled in the nursing program.
  • Coordinate theoretical, clinical or laboratory instruction for specialty area
  • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.

The Department of Nursing at Hartwick College invites applications and nominations for Two full-time, three-year term renewable appointments at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, with expertise in any of the following areas: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community/Rural Health Nursing; Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Teaching load will average 23 semester credit hours.

Specific teaching assignments may also include courses in pathophysiology/pharmacology, health assessment, foundations in nursing science, and success strategies. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, and to working closely with students.

Minimum qualifications for all positions include M.S. in Nursing at the time of the appointment, an unencumbered NYS RN license, and recent relevant clinical or educational experience and certification. Preference will be given to applicants with a doctorate in nursing or a closely-related field, at least three years of full-time college-level classroom and/or distance/on-line teaching experience and additional areas of nursing specialization.

Essential Functions of Nursing Assistant Trainee:
