The Department of Psychology at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall of 2026. A PhD degree is required; however, candidates who have not yet had their degree conferred (i.e., ABD) may be considered with an expected completion of the degree within the first year of employment. All areas of specialization will be considered, yet special consideration will be given to applicants with the ability to develop community partnerships and/or service learning opportunities involving students. We are primarily a teaching University and are looking for applicants with well-developed teaching skills. Faculty members teach a total of 21-24 credit hours per academic year. The successful applicant will be expected to teach applied courses that engage students in the Greater Cleveland community. This could be through a service learning course, internship course, or applied research course in the field. They would also be expected to teach any of our required courses, including Intro to Psychology, Statistics, SPSS, Research Methods and Thesis, in addition to a lower level topical seminar. They also may be asked to develop new courses in their area of specialization.
The Psychology Department currently has 7 full-time members representing the main sub-disciplines in the field. The Psychology major is one of the largest majors on campus, and the department is housed in the Neal Malicky Center for the Social Sciences, which has dedicated research space for human research. Responsibilities
The incumbent will also be expected to engage in sustained scholarly research and/or other creative work appropriate to the position and participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including academic advising, mentoring undergraduate research, and service on committees. The Department and the College actively support new faculty with mentoring and professional development opportunities, including a paid pre-tenure leave for those on the standard six-year tenure track, startup support, and internal grants for conference travel and research.
The ideal candidate:
● Envisions the future of image-making and is prepared to lead the painting, drawing, and color theory curriculum. This candidate will lead the department's curriculum in the field of painting, so it is important that this person has a deep understanding of painting's long traditions, while also understanding how the field is expanding in relation to, and reaction to, digital tools and technologies.
● Demonstrates a broad and experimental approach to materials and methodologies, especially when working on a 2D plane, including oil and water-based media, a range of drawing techniques, digital imaging, and mixed-media practices.
● Can develop and teach a range of courses across representational, perceptual, and abstract painting languages and approaches.
● Can participate in the co-taught capstone sequence courses, which are interdisciplinary in scope. Professors co-teach and rotate interdisciplinary courses that guide advanced majors across disciplines, so this candidate must be able to talk about art and ideas beyond their specific field.

● Shows evidence and/or promise of a significant professional studio art practice and exhibition record.

The Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Marietta College invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in Environmental Geology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) beginning August 2026. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: hydrology, GIS, environmental science, low-temperature geochemistry, geological engineering, natural hazards and risk assessment, and geomorphology. Our class sizes are small and field-based learning is encouraged and supported; opportunities to lead travel courses with students are also available. Research with undergraduate students is also expected and supported. The university's location at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum rivers is ideal for environmental geology projects, and it is expected the candidate would utilize this resource in their courses and research. The expected teaching duties will be 12 credits hours per semester.
Marietta College recently formed the Center for Earth, Energy, and Environment, and it is anticipated that the selected candidate would play a key role in enhancing environmental science in the center. Marietta College is also home to the only petroleum engineering program at a small liberal arts college, and the candidate's ability to contribute to curriculum involving energy and engineering would be welcome. Job DescriptionDescription:
The Woodshop Specialist is responsible for implementing high risk, age-appropriate, adaptive programming for campers aged 8-17 years old. They are responsible for adhering to policies and procedures at all times while creating an engaging atmosphere that is conducive to fostering transformation and fun.
Team Overview:
The Program Team brings the camp experience to life by creating programs, building community, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all camp participants. The team creates accessible and developmentally-appropriate programs and recruits, processes, and supports a large team of volunteers and seasonal staff. In adherence with laws and camp governing bodies; they develop, plan and implement camp emergency procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
Attend Seasonal Staff Training (May 18-29, 2026)
Implement outcomes-driven programming for the woodshop and other program areas as needed
Modify and adapt all woodshop activities due to medical needs, psychosocial needs, and other variables
Enforce all woodshop program safety rules
Ensure that all equipment and supplies are safety stored, inspected, and maintained
Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Facilities Manager in the preparation, purchase order, and record-keeping of inventory of supplies in assigned areas
Submit weekly woodshop plans to supervisor
Support, lead, and evaluate woodshop volunteers
Assist the Cabin Life team with maintaining appropriate supervision of campers, including providing overnight coverage in cabins as needed
Requirements:
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Ability to move across camp grounds and between buildings and activity areas multiple times each day
Ability to coordinate a multi-faceted program for campers aged 8-17 years with varying physical and developmental abilities
Strong understanding of woodshop risk management and emergency planning while keeping safety first in all situations
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to support with program set up and tear down (including movement of materials up to 50 lbs.)
Preferred Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Woodworking or carpentry experience including use of band saws, miter saws and other woodworking equipment preferred (educational or experiential)

Salary Description $18-20 per hour, 29 hours per week
