JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Lead Instructor of Technical Services to join our team in Seattle, Washington.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep, hands-on expertise in commercial HVAC/R systems, electrical infrastructure, and building automation/controls. This leader will be responsible for supervising a multi-faceted FCTA training center as well as teaching technicians and supporting their career growth.
First Coast Technical Academy training facility is located at a Boeing facility. It includes travel up to 25% to support regional teams, training centers, and field operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the technical training center, ensuring high-quality instruction and facility readiness.
Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple trades including HVAC/R, electrical systems, and controls
Conduct training of technicians, and trains and supervise a small cadre of support instructors
Support the growth of technical training staff through mentorship, coaching, and performance development initiatives.
Help develop and execute technical training programs, ensuring alignment with evolving technologies, safety standards, and operational goals
Facilitate advanced support and oversight for BAS/EMS systems, including digital/analog I/O, system integration, and programming logic.
Assist with complex diagnostics, commissioning, and system optimization in the field as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HVAC/R, electrical, and controls, including 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
Minimum 5 years of experience training technicians in technical skills related to their job requirements.
Deep knowledge of commercial HVACR systems, electrical distribution, and building automation platforms.
Proficiency in BAS/EMS systems, digital and analog I/O, and programming for HVAC and energy systems.
Must hold or have held a valid journeyman or trade license in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical (Washington State or transferable).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and influence technical strategy.
Experience designing or overseeing technical training programs is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel up to 25% to support field teams and training initiatives.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves face-to-face instruction and is performed in a classroom which is adequately heated and ventilated, and in an on-campus outdoor environment, sometimes in rainy conditions. This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Lecture (theory) credits are compensated at $1,090 per credit, which includes scheduled class time and final exam days, in addition to a per credit stipend based on the high demand tier. All guided practice instructional credits for adjunct will be paid with an additional pay factor of 1.33. Future advancement in base salary, up to the current maximum of $1,640 per credit, is based upon a combination of years of service accrued at our college and professional development activity.
Degree Stipend:
Master's or Doctorate degree stipends are paid on a prorated per credit rate.

Job Description
Provide instruction to students in the education pathway seeking a degree in K-8 education. Class assignments are primarily in upper division coursework in the BAS-Teacher Education program. Courses in the program are offered in a cohort based, hybrid instructional modality, with classes in the evening, starting at 5pm. Class offerings include classroom management, assessment and evaluation, curriculum and instruction, social emotional teaching & learning; subject based courses: teaching math, science, reading, social studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create instructional materials and deliver instruction in content and skills areas aligned with K-8 needs and best practices. Continually improve student learning through assessment. Adapt instruction practices to improve student learning. Participate in program advisory board meetings, serve on campus committees, advise students and be available to students outside of instructional time, and attend meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Education AND four years of teaching experience in an elementary/middle school setting.

The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking candidates for a full-time position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Practice Track. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW's Faculty Code Section 24-34. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026.
In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.
The base salary range for this position will be: AssistantProfessor range: $13,641 - $20,461 per month ($163,692- $245,532 annually), Associate Professor range: $16,487 - $24,730 per month ($197,844 - $296,760 annually), Professor range: $19,820 - $29,729 per month ($237,840 - $356,748 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children's University Medical Group practice plan. The successful candidate will lead the development of a new Comprehensive Asthma Program at Seattle Children's Hospital. Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to, candidates with leadership skills and/or clinical expertise in asthma. The faculty member will work collaboratively to build an inpatient, outpatient and community-based program that integrates clinical care with advocacy and research. There is opportunity for both original research and research partnerships within the Center for Respiratory Biology and Therapeutics in the Seattle Children's Research Institute for the candidate, if desired. Mentorship resources will be provided per the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine and the UW Department of Pediatrics. Additionally, the Asthma Program will collaborate with the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic to deliver asthma care to the community. Occupational therapy faculty work as part of a supportive community and have the advantage of working collaboratively both within the School of Occupational Therapy as well as with other departments across campus. Occupational therapy faculty have had the opportunity to provide input and expertise as Puget Sound seeks to prepare for future challenges in higher education and strategically add new graduate programs.
Teaching load is 6 units per academic year with primary teaching scheduled August through May. Faculty also provide a small amount of summer teaching which is mainly focused on advising and grading student projects. A majority of the summer is generally open for research, course preparation and professional development. This faculty member will act as the lead faculty for an introductory-level GIS Certificate program. Depending on their area of expertise, they will also teach foundational and intermediate-level environmental studies courses which could include environmental science or other environmental studies. Faculty are expected to develop curriculum independently and in collaboration with faculty from a wide range of social science, physical science, arts, and humanities disciplines. The faculty member will teach some discipline-specific, career-connected courses, and they will team-teach some exploratory interdisciplinary classes.
Evergreen's school of Professional and Continuing Education provides transformative education for working adults and lifelong learners seeking a bachelor's degree or a certificate credential, but it also attracts traditional age undergraduate students. The curriculum combines theory with practice and is offered during evenings and weekends in multiple teaching modes (in-person, online, and hybrid). Job Expectations
The faculty member hired into this position will teach either 4-credit or 8-credit offerings in a combination adding up to 16 credits per 11-week quarter (fall, winter, and spring). Faculty teach at a 25:1 student to faculty ratio. Faculty often support capstone work including undergraduate research, internships, and faculty-supported research (dependent on teaching workload). This position is approximately 90% teaching, 10% governance.
Classes may be offered fully online, in-person, or in low residency/hybrid formats (with both remote and in-person elements). Synchronous instruction takes place during evening or weekend hours. In the first year of the contract, faculty will have partial release from teaching to help with the design and development of new certificates and curriculum in the school for Professional and Continuing education. Faculty will be provided with opportunities to increase their skill in online curriculum development.
Evergreen uses written narrative evaluations in lieu of grades, and faculty are generally responsible for writing evaluations and conducting in-person individual meetings with 25 or more students at the end of each quarter. Faculty are also responsible for advising students as they reflect on their learning process, develop a pathway of study, and prepare for post-graduation academic and career goals.

AssistantProfessors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). The base salary range for this position will be: AssistantProfessors $14,895 - $22,343 per month ($178,740 - $268,116 annually), Associate Professors $17,091 - $25,636 per month ($205,092 - $307,632 annually), Full Professors $19,837 - $29,756 per month ($238,044 - $357,072 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations.
