Skills and Qualifications:
At HCI, faculty delivers courses that are part of standard academic programs. Faculty Members are responsible for ensuring a quality education for students in their course and programs. All faculty should, at a minimum, have the degree required for the specific discipline and have experience and appropriate credentials in their relevant area of academia according to the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON), ACEN, ACCSC, and other governing bodies. The Nurse Administrator should remember that, according to the FBON, 50% or more of the faculty must have a master's or doctoral degree in Nursing.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with a master's degree in nursing preferred
Two years' experience in the clinical specialty area
Med Surg experience preferred
3-5 years of bedside experience
Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred.
Current knowledge in area of clinical practice.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)

* Basic knowledge of technology-mediated platforms for blended learning and computer software.
* Engaging in university, community service, and collaborating with other university departments to recruit students in the College of Health and Wellness.
Qualifications/Requirements
* PhD, MD, or other Doctorate Degree in Nursing or related field, certification to practice as a CRNA or physician, and current APRN/RN or MD license.
* A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience is required.
