The AssistantProfessor II for Nursing Education facilitates distance education instruction by incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery within and outside the College. The incumbent will be accountable for the delivery of the nursing curriculum in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and purposes of the Program. The AssistantProfessor II will engage with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process including evaluating the potential for achievement in the program and is accountable for Nursing Education Services successful attainment of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the success of the College's mission. Monitors, engages, and maintains open communication with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process including attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation in accordance with course outcomes, and submits required reports according to published deadlines
Attends nursing faculty meetings, participates in committees, engages in shared decision-making, and other faculty activities as required
May be assigned to various modalities including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching based on the needs of the College
Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in higher nursing education, preferably online education
Earned Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence and ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license
Either has an earned Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commits to obtaining this certification within a one-year period
Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice
Additional Contributions: Annual Professional Development, Service as SME, Service on Committees, and maintain a learner load congruent with current faculty matrix for the assigned course(s).

The Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Utah invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the area of isotope geochemistry. We seek applicants whose research complements and grows departmental and institutional strengths in areas such as (paleo)climate, water resources, solid Earth processes, and (paleo)ecology. The new faculty member will be expected to develop a high impact, externally-supported research program, effectively support our teaching mission at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive intellectual community. Substantial infrastructure and support for light isotope analysis is available through the Stable Isotope Ratios Facility for Environmental Research (SIRFER), and the new faculty member will have the opportunity to leverage and steer the future direction of this internationally recognized facility. Job Description
Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact for Federal Flight Deck Officers when they arrive at the training venue; are responsible for checking them in; verifying weapons and credentials; conducting training and overseeing the course of fire at the gun-range. They are responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel on the range and securing SSI and SPII information during and after requalification sessions.
HOW A LEAD FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact at the training venue for Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) and is the on-site training manager for the program. LFIs conduct all classroom instruction; delivering the approved TSA training and safety brief; introducing and describing new equipment; and ensuring all students understand and sign the safety briefing. The LFI ensures a minimum number of SFIs are present to maintain an instructor/student ratio of 1:6 for each training session. The LFI must ensure a sufficient inventory of training supplies is on-hand at the training venue to support monthly requalification sessions. The LFI is expected to maintain positive control of the training environment from the moment students arrive at the venue to the moment they depart. Upon students? arrival; the LFIs must verify weapons and credentials of each FFDO before training commences by visual inspection. The LFI is responsible for ensuring proper scoring of targets; completion of applicable administrative forms; and collection of training data. The LFI is required sign and certify qualification scores for all FFDOs attempting to qualify. Failure of an FFDO to qualify also means that an authorized FAMS Representative and/or LFI takes custody of the unloaded weapon; transport device (lockbox); credential and other equipment for return to TSA/FAMS. If no authorized FAMS representative is present to receive the equipment; the LFI shall make immediate verbal notification to the FFDO Program Office in order to make the appropriate arrangements to return equipment and credentials. The LFI must keep all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy. The LFI is oversees time keeping of all SFI labor hours. The LFI must comply with internal compliance training events
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT TRAINING: Current or former federal law enforcement agent; officer; or civilian employee having completed a recognized federal firearm instructor training program deemed acceptable by the TSA/FAMS. Examples of a recognized federal firearms instructor programs include; but are not limited to; certified instructor graduates of FLETC Firearms Instructor Training program (FITP); FAMS Firearms Instructor Training Program; FBI/DEA Firearms Instructor Training Program; United States Postal Inspectors Firearms Instructor Training Program or equivalent federal training program. All LFIs must successfully complete a 2-3 days firearms re-qualification training program under the technical direction of the SAC; FAMS Training Division; and the FFDO Program Office. Areas of instruction shall include; but not to be limited to; the re-qualification course(s) of fire; procedural requirements for conducting the re-qualification session; and use of a GFE Automatic External Defibrillator (AED); and basic first aid.

UNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Working Conditions The work is typically performed at an indoor or outdoor gun range. Employees will be required to handle weapons and ammunition in the course of their duties. Exposure to high volumes of noise due to the firing of weapons will occur and employees are required to wear hearing protection in the form of foam ear plugs as well as external hearing protection. Exposure to expelled gun-powder as a result of fired ammunition is expected; and the employees must wash hands after handling ammunition. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials; boxes; or equipment. *This position requires applicants to successfully complete the security application and pass a background investigation clearance prior to starting.*

Westminster University in Salt Lake City seeks a full-time, permanent Assistant or Associate Professor in the CACREP-accredited Mental Health Counseling Program (MSMHC) starting Fall of 2026 or Spring of 2027. We have educated master's level practitioners since 2007 and established training partnerships with community agencies to provide counseling for diverse populations. In response to our local provider shortage, we have doubled the size of our entering graduate cohort and plan to introduce a doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) in the next few years. Our master's program is a full-time, residential, cohort-based model. Our small classes and vibrant learning community facilitate a student-centered, interactive learning approach. In January 2023, we opened a low-fee community clinic, providing services for underserved populations and offering intensive faculty supervision for masters and doctoral students. In launching our CES doctoral program, we aim to advance the counseling field through preparing creative teachers, thoughtful supervisors, skilled researchers, strong client advocates, and expert clinicians. Our ideal faculty candidate will display commitments to engaged teaching and research as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion. Given that we have more than two dozen community-based training sites and our new low-fee community clinic, the ideal candidate will also have clinical and supervisory experience across multiple levels of care and varied populations. Major responsibilities include: (1) instruction of master's level courses in a face-to-face format; (2) curriculum and program development; (3) development of a student-inclusive research program; (4) supervision of counseling students and interns, (5) student admissions and advising; (6) cooperative work with agencies, schools, and the larger regional mental health community, and (7) service at the department and college levels. In the next few years, responsibilities will expand to include teaching and supervision of doctoral students. We welcome applicants with teaching and research expertise in any area relevant to clinical mental health counseling, and we will work with the successful candidate to create a teaching schedule that aligns with their training, experience, and interests.
