This role is responsible for the support of Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project success. Assists with overall management of construction project sites and procurement through final acceptance, while ensuring project safety. Maximizes profits and cost controls to maintain stability and growth of the organization by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Studies specifications and plans to coordinate procedures for appropriate construction methods based on project start and completion. Studies staffing and equipment needs for each phase of construction and assists with direction of construction activities and related staffing/equipment needs. Assists with procurement of materials, tools, and rental equipment to conform to project schedules. Maintains Foreman / Superintendent staffing schedule per project on a weekly basis and ensures equipment scheduling aligns with field schedule. Coordinates with on-site personnel engaged in planning the work procedures, executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, plans, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, inspectors, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems to improve construction methods and performance. Ensures accurate quantity tracking to assists project management team with divisional forecasting prior to monthly forecast reviews. Maintains past cost data are updated regularly for each department to include costs related to mobilization, temporary roads, supervision, equipment/labor ratios, surveying, as-builts, testing, safety management, etc. Assist Project Manager with production tracking on active projects, as needed. Assists with subcontractor and supplier solicitation across departments Inspects and reviews work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, plans, schedules, and safety compliance. May assist with quality control program documentation depending on jobsite requirements. Ensures as-built documentation of completed work through GPS data collection and redlines drawings are maintain weekly. Assists with investigations and reports damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed. Monitors compliance with project safety program requirements. Documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented as necessary. Assists with compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations. Other duties, as assigned.
