Ameresco has a new opportunity for an Assistant Region Manager - RNG Operations to join our team within the Energy Asset Operations Group. Ameresco is looking for a highly motivated individual to assist the Regional Manager in Managing the day-to-day operations of our growing RNG facilities. Manage the operations staff in the performance of Safety, Compliance, Maintenance, Budgeting and production of these facilities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to the Region Manager RNG Plant Operations for the daily operational oversight of all RNG Project facilities;
Supervise Senior Plant Specialists and Plant Specialists at the RNG facilities;
Coordinate plant operations, staff, safety, compliance, and resources at the facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient landfill/BIO gas processing, daily operational practices and facility production;
Understand and enforce environmental compliance within Company polices, local, State and Federal codes, rules, and regulations;
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety policy, standards, practices, codes;
Follow and enforce procedures outlined in the Ameresco Safety & Health Program and require onsite contractors to do the same;
Regularly audit and inspect plant operating conditions, ensuring proactive and timely implementation of corrective measures;
Work with Plant Specialists to organize work and meet critical deadlines in line with Regional Manager and business objectives;
Detect and analyze malfunctions in plant operating machinery and equipment and take the necessary steps for adjustment;
Help create and enforce preventive maintenance program tied to manufacturer's suggested maintenance schedule and field experience;
Work with Plant Specialists to forecast and coordinate maintenance, repair, replacement stock, and inventory of interchangeable plant parts and equipment;
Plan, schedule, and work with Plant Specialists to implement repair, replacement, maintenance and expansion projects;
Fill in as relief operator/Plant Specialist for all plants in the region;
Prepare and deliver regular staff safety, compliance, equipment, and operations training;
Inspect work performed by Plant Specialists and contractors to ensure completeness and compliance with manufacture recommendations and Ameresco policies and procedures;
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Plant Specialists, Regional Manager, and customer representatives;
Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information;
Communicate clearly and concisely; and
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
BSME or related technical degree. Equivalent Experience, knowledge and Training will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years' direct experience managing renewable energy power plant or RNG operations, including landfill/BIO gas processing, utilization, and compliance; maintenance and repair subcontractor relationships; budgeting, staff, safety, and supporting resources.
Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated regulatory agency compliance, OSHA, and safety training experience.
Prior experience Managing power plant and/or Gas processing facilities utilizing reciprocating engines, combustion turbines, gas compression, treatment and processing equipment preferred.
Strong verbal, written, computer and technical communication and presentation skills, including MS Office proficiency.
Ability to pass security clearance and DOT substance testing investigation.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
Ability to provide on-call response.
Frequent travel required.
