Assures that menus are developed, served and filled in accordance with established policies and procedures and in compliance with physician orders. Approves menus or has menus approved by Registered Dietician, as required. Processes diet orders and changes promptly. Assists in developing methods for determining quality and quantity of food served. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years' experience in a dietary supervisory capacity in an acute or long term care environment required; supervisory experience required Knowledgeable of dietary procedures as well as related laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to hospital and long term care Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc., preferred Must possess a valid and current license/certification as required by state law (Certified Dietary Manager certification).
