• Responsible for the Inventory Value Change Report and monitoring inventory by investigating count discrepancies daily especially those with significant financial consequences, determining the impact on shrinkage levels and communicating this to Store Manager regularly.
• Encourages all staff to do inventory corrections and fill-ins.
• Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations. Approves adjustments for defective merchandise.
• Advises sales workers on difficult, non-routine sales that include variable factors such as volume prices, technical expertise and multi-vendor sales.
• Demonstrates a positive can-do attitude. Supports and embraces all corporate change initiatives for the purpose of maintaining a strong and profitable company regardless of the economic climate.
• Must possess awareness and an understanding of the store’s budget as it pertains to the salary to sales goals established by the company.
• Knowledge of farm implementation equipment, parts and supplies either by educational program or practical use strongly preferred.
• Issues final approval on check discrepancies and approves special prices for merchandise sales to employees. Responsible for verifying all company funds and accounting for any discrepancies seeking immediate resolution while notifying appropriate personnel as indicated by cash handling procedures.
• Responsible for the successful completion of end of month store reporting of financial data.
• Participates in weekly walk through with Store Manager and maintains responsibility for ASC Warranty Program.
• Ability to respond as needed when an after-hours alarm goes off at retail store location; meeting and speaking with local law enforcement to permit an investigation and secure the property.
• Works directly with other retail store personnel, office personnel, and management personnel including Purchasing, HR, Payroll and IT to accomplish job duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree and two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Agriculture background either through educational program or practical experience strongly preferred
• 6 months – 1 year of previous management experience a plus
• 2+ years of previous retail experience
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Reports to the Store Manager on a daily basis and the Regional Supervisor as needed.
