The Assistant Security Manager, located on-site with a specific client, will assist and implement a high degree of effective security strategies and policies, oversee incident and crisis management activities, provide security-related counsel, and complete investigative and security assignments.
Essential Functions:


Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Work closely with the client's executives to understand requirements related to security and regulatory compliance and to map those requirements to current security projects; Provide on-going security-related advice/counsel. Evaluate changes to the client's environment for security impact and present findings to management. Develop, implement, follow-up, and review of security strategies, policies, and regulations. Conduct security analysis, audits, training, exercises, meeting, event, and travel security. Supervise and manage employees during the scheduled shift. Oversee the security incident response and crisis management activities. Oversee and coordinate scheduling of the security and executive driver teams designated on scheduled shift. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the security vehicle. Creates, develops and fosters relationships with the client, public officials, and members of the community. All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:


High school diploma or GED with three to five years of security management experience. Incident, emergency response, and crisis management experience preferred. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER OF SAFETY & SECURITY

As an Assistant Manager of Safety and Security you will have the responsibility to interact with personnel at all level and help provide services that encompass consultation, research, coordination, development, implementation, oversite, instruction, review, monitoring, and continued focus on safety related programs while ensuring a safe environment.

In this role you will assist with the Emergency Response Plan, assists the Manager of Safety and Security in the completion of all planned safety and loss control programs scheduled at the Cooperative. You will supervise, manage, develop, and coordinate documents of the Cooperative Safety and Security programs. You will be the liaison between police, fire, EMS, and other Governmental Agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT MANAGER OF SAFETY & SECURITY

• Education: Associates Degree related to the field of safety, loss control, education, business, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Prior experience in a corporate learning environment with a focus on program development, documentation, and reporting. Experience in the Safety and/or Security fields developing and implementing safety and/or security policies, procedures, and investigative processes.
• Knowledge: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Preferred Cooperative/Electric utility experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must possess and maintain a current and valid CDL Class A driver's license recognized by the State of Delaware.
• Must be able to obtain OSHA supervisor certification, Certified Loss Control Professional Certification, forklift certification, flagger certification and any other certification mandated by DEC, State of Delaware, or Federal Government to comply with laws and regulations required to complete the job duties of the position.

We are hiring an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services for our gated retirement community. The SES Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of Erickson Senior Living's Security and Emergency Services Program, including establishing the Security, Emergency Medical Response, Safety/Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and Prevention/Outreach Programs.
**How you will make an impact:**

+ Assist the SES Manager in the areas of program/procedural compliance, quality assurance/quality improvement, investigations, training, administrative support, and serve as the primary backup to the Security ES Manager in their absence.

+ Responsible for the Security of the Community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs

+ Oversees safety programs to include Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed.

+ Partners with their manager to establish and maintain an operating budget.

+ Oversee the proper documentation of incidents through the use of the Incident Reporting System. Oversee the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $58,000 annually

**What you will need:**

+ High school diploma or GED is required, Associates Degree preferred

+ 2+ years experience in an SES Management role or 1 year of demonstrated leadership in an Erickson SES Supervisor/Assistant Manager role is required.

+ 1+ years experience working in an Emergency Responder role

+ Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

+ Emergency Medical Responder Certification (within 6 months of hire)
