What is an assistant superintendent and how to become one

Assistant superintendents work on construction sites. Your job is to ensure that the construction project's completion will be within the expected time and that budgets are adhered to. Your job responsibilities also include providing job site management of both employees and contractors, assisting with the invention, establishing and maintaining effective and positive relationships with clients, and assisting with creating and enforcing a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects. You must take part in the review of all project documents for constructability and content, assist with setting up job site logistics and field coordination and conduct and attend meetings. Plus, you must ensure that all health and safety guidelines are obeyed by conducting inspections.

A bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a construction foreman is required for this job position. You should also have a profound knowledge of relevant health and safety laws. Your average salary as an assistant superintendent is $35.36 per hour or $75,547 annually.
